Lets see. According to the front page, the Xbox 360 sold 29k in the week of September 20th, the Wii did 6k, a difference of 23k. At those rates, it would take the Xbox 360 about 305 weeks to pass the Wii. No, it's impossible even with holiday sales.

You excluded Japan sales to fit your argument becaue Xbox sales are historically bad in Japan compared to their home consoles.

LOL no.  This thing is dead in the water.  The PS3 is the only one with an iota of a chance, and it is still not likely in my opinion.

Gap is 6.3 not 7. Shipments (ultimately sold consoles) this year stand at 1.3m x360 vs 350k~ wii. Will happen next year at some point.

For me yes, and for you?


Think about it this way;  Do you believe that the PS3 can beat Wii lifetime sales?  Its selling at about a 2:1 pace.  So,  figure out how long it would take the PS3 to do it and double that time.  If you expect the 360 to be around that long then its possible.

I'm a little lost.  What numbers are your refering to? According to the front page the gap is much higher than 6.3 million.

depends what ms want to do with 360.
go on and sell it cheap? yes
abdone it and want all to buy a, cheaper than now, xbox one with windows 10? no


is there a chance windows 10 could run on x360?
if yes, a cheap 100 bucks "app box" that can play AAA games would be great

i doubt it. but would be cool.

The OP does some awful rounding. XB360 is 1.6m in Japan for instance, not 2m.

XB360 has shipped 84.2m WW, sold 1.6m in Japan, thus is 82.6m WW (minus Japan)

Wii is 101.06m shipped WW minus 12.7m from Japan, thus 88.36m = 5.76m elsewhere in the world. So it's lower than 6.3 (I thought it was 101.6m but it's 101.06m for Wii).

So far this year the gap has closed 1m+.

XB1 is selling low but IMO not as low as VGC suggests, this is backed up by the fact we had 3m+ on shelves according to VGC a little while ago. The console has shipped 1.3m~ this year alone. It's slowing but not as fast as some people think.
