Nicklesbe said: This is my read on impertinence which I have considered and reconsidered. I am leaning null to town. He seems less active than last game but I understand work being a complication. The content of his posts hasn't changed much. I hope he learned some lessons from last game and I am eager to see more from him. His first post had some solid advice for new players: http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/post.php?id=6718709 He was having some fun early on and getting into the game. He seemed a bit relaxed. He makes an interesting point about smeags here: http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/post.php?id=6718891 I guess he had another read or simply reconsidered things in his analyses: http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/post.php?id=6719587 I think it's fair and I understand it but I don't exactly agree with his take on cone and I don't completely agree with his read on Eric. Eric probably is town but I wouldn't say him being more confident and comfortable is an indication of that but rather something that should be considered from both sides of the fence. He makes a fair responce to Raddish that questioned his read on cone: http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/post.php?id=6720813 makes an interesting points on Astro: http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/post.php?id=6720835 http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/post.php?id=6722282 His play so far tho not as active as last game still seems like the same town play. If he is town then I only hope continues to offer his input and push people. If he is mafia then he may not have a serious slip toDay. What he does next will be interesting to see. Same goes for Astro. |
Last post for the night, because you asked a while back for input on imp and I've yet to give it.
I have a hard time reading imp. He was hard to read last game too. He clearly has a natural talent for the game. He ended up getting lynched last game merely because town had overlooked the right option and he was the easiest of what was left.
He does seem comfortable and more or less like he was last game. I wasn't impressed with his intitial Smeags observation. Smeags wasn't serious. He was just being funny. Imp apparently realizes that later. He says you need experience with the game and with Smeags to get the joke. It sounds like he took it seriously at first, then realized it was a joke, and was upset, hence why he accused Smeags of causing confusion. I personally agree with him here, that Smeags took the joke a little too far, and when White started doctor fishing, Smeags kept the joke going. Honestly, with all of Smeags' trouble maker with an attitude roleplaying (says day start flavor was TL;DR, blows raspberries at you, wants to make White's day worse, and all the joking around), I was beginning to think he might be a jester...but yeah, sounds like Imp figured out Smeags was messing around but was upset that he got confused by it in the first place. As you know, I'm confident that Eric couldn't pull off his improvement simply with coaching, and the fact is that Eric's vote for a person who isn't playing was obviously a joke, so Imp's noting that it was a weird thing to grab onto to drive activity is spot on. Eric's response with the confident way that he handled himself only convinced me more that Eric was probably town and Cone's targeting him over a joke was just weird. Cone has improved since then, so I'm willing to write it off as him looking for something to latch onto near the beginning and finding nothing better. Especially since he's been reasonably active and made some good points. Either way, Imp's read on Cone seemed reasonable to me. I've already said my thoughts on Cone, I think looking into him made sense.
Overall, I give him a null leaning town read, on the grounds that he seems at ease even when people disagree with him, makes sensible observations, and more or less looks like he did last game. I don't think we have enough to go on yet, but I sincerely doubt if he's scum he'll be able to hold up these appearances in future days when harder evidence surfaces. Simply playing as you think you would as town inevitably runs into complications after the first day, as we learned in our first game. We managed to pull it off, but it wasn't easy, and if town had been a little wiser about things it wouldn't have worked.
