Not even close for me, Samus is one of my all time favorite characters and she has a crazy arsenal with tons of experience wasting much tougher opposition. Master Chef leads an army, Samus is an armym

But Samus without her power suit is like Tony Stark without his Iron Man suit. Still deadly yes, but it's definitely what makes them"Super".

Samus is not human. It's difficult to gain a proper perspective of it because humans are rarely seen in Metroid games, and we've never seen Samus fight one before. But I think it's pretty straightforward that Samus is more than human. She has alien DNA. As of Fusion, she is three species simultaneously, and she is more formidable than the sum of their parts.

She's not human but she's humanoid. Granted she was infused with Chozo DNA, and in Fushion she was infused with Metroid DNA to save her life, but as far as I know, there is no way to measure her powers w/o her suit.

Then again, maybe in Other M but I never played it, so if you can measure her strength and agility with suitless Samus that be interesting to know.

You could measure how much damage she takes from space pirate weapons in her different suits in Zero Mission. I think it takes 3 hits to kill her in her Zero Suit on hard mode with max health.

Checking it out, it looks like the full-power Gravity Suit halves that damage.

Hmmm. Never played Zero Mission. Still waiting for it to come out Via Virtual Console on Wii U.

All these posts made me remember why I loved Samus as a child. Feel like buying Zero Mission on Ebay and puting in Metroid Prime Trilogy on my Wii U now!!

Samus, in her normal power suit can withstand multi-terrawatt energy. The Varia suit halves that damage, and the gravity suit more. http://www.factpile.com/136-master-chief-vs-samus/ Check that page 2 of that link for more, page 1 is full of Halotards.

Bet with Xander XT:

I can beat more games on his 3DS than he can on my PSVita in a month. Loser has to buy the winner a game on his/her handheld Guess who won? http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=193531

Me!

Zero Mission is cool. I'd play it again. The moment you get the Gravity Suit is so great, you feel unstoppable and the Brinstar music kicks in... It feels really good, haha.

According to Sakamoto, when Samus absorbed the SA-X, she "recovered her genetic condition." After the events of Fusion, she is back to being part human, part Chozo, no parts Metroid. But her armor still maintains the appearance of the Fusion Suit.

Is that so? Never was aware of that lore point.

Neither was I. I was just looking that up earlier because I had forgotten what the Fusion Suit looked like for each 'upgrade.' I stumbled upon this info about the final upgrade, which is obtained during the final boss fight and has no official name.

I wish she stayed part Metroid, that could have led to some cool plot developments. And it would have ensured that the series title "Metroid" would always be relevant and applicable even if they decided to write Metroids out of the story for good. Samus would have been the last Metroid, a word that means "Ultimate Warrior" in the Chozo language. How badass would that be.

To be fair, we only have Sakamoto's word on this, and I've already been hoping he never touches the series again. So it could be retconned down the line, but in order for that to happen, someone would actually have to make a Metroid game that takes place after Fusion. ...........Still waiting, Nintendo.

Samus. Its no contest.

Samus easily. Jetpack morphball all the different beams. etc.

ZeroSuit Samus would probably lose against Master Chief tho.

But ZeroSuit Chief would probably lose against Zero Suit Samus.

Samus of course

Doomguy would kick their butts without any effort.
