Forums - Sony - What do you want in the Vita PCH-3000?

What feature matters most?

The screen quality 17 21.79%

Weight of system 2 2.56%

Button size 4 5.13%

Thickness of system 1 1.28%

Screen size 3 3.85%

Storage 51 65.38%

Total:78

I want less. They should actually create a budget version of the Vita.
They should create a system to sell it for 75%> of it's current price.

I don't see myself buying a Vita in it's current state at that price.

Yep, I agree, and no more Monster Hunter Clones. I want to see Gran Turismo Vita

Well, if some people think that the wiiU's price should be $200 cause its selling low, the same logic should be applied to the vita since its selling low

Wii U is technically past gen. To me it's well overpriced. Even if it has good games on it, that does not define the price. Playstation 2 would have cost bilion if we go by this way. Hardware is price.

Vita is the edge of handheld, while Wii U is a ps3. Hence why people are so faya about a price drop.

Well... considering how much memory card costs and how much of an inital investment the vita is if you include say, a 16gb memory card, I think the vita needs to be priced very aggressively if it wants to compete (which I doubt it will). Most of the games that are in the vita's library are mostly digital and that memory card fills up quite fast if its anything less, so while people can delete and redownload games, thats just quite annoying when a system's main appeal is its digital library hence why they need to lower the cost (or continue to sell terribly). (Obviously Sony needs to support it more too)

Its selling so low in the west any future model might be Japan exclusive.

The only thing to do would be to bump up its features, 32GB internal storage, improved sticks, additional trigger buttons for remote play and playstation now. OLED Screen return and thats about it.

Part of the reason why Vita was so hyped was because it was already perfect out the box back in 2011/12. The new model is actually a downgrade.

The current Vita 2000 is less. The cost of the system comes in its specs, its still a beefy handheld. The only way to remove that much of its cost will mean changing it specs entirely, which obviously won't happen. Give it a few more years if you want it that cheap.
