what do you want us to suggest? Do it yourself, there are probably a million youtube video telling you how to do it
Also, go to cnet and they have a walkthrough via video too.
won't take you more than 5 minutes.

no im not a big computer component guy, i mean are they any hard drives that you would suggest
i've never actually done it myself, but go to Cnet.com, and search for "change PS3 harddrive", there should be one by Tom Merriot.
like I said, it's everything you need to know right there.

One day Kingofwhale will read before he posts and then he can actually contribute to this website.
I would say get a Western Digital, or Seagate. Most of my friends seem to love Toshiba and Hitachi as well. Most of what I know of these companies is based on their desktop HDDs but I feel it is safe to assume they will offer similar quality for a laptop HDD. The other recomendation I would make is to get as large a one as you feel you can afford. I have learned that it is not a matter of if you can fill a hard drive, but how long until you fill a hard drive.
get a 2.5" SSD and plug that sucker in your PS3 :)
yeah i found a 160gb for £47 ( http://www.ebuyer.com/product/121556 ) all it has to be is a 2.5" sata hard disc drive some times called a sata laptop hard drive
SAMSUNG M6 Series HM320JI 320GB 5400 RPM SATA 1.5Gb/s
$160 from newegg.com
Get a 5400 rpm drive, the 7200rpms produce a LOT more heat
I'm pretty sure it cant support any higher than 250 gig, but i dont think you will need anymore than that unless your torrentboxing.
All you need is a 2.5" drive, and when you take the first one off its pretty self explained.
