i dont know... ive been on the fence for a month and i still dont know if i should get it, especially since im going through my backlog of games and by the time i finish all of them Bloodborne will be out and i much rather play that so... i dont really think that i will get it, at least not on launch.

Yep. Pre-ordered quite awhile ago after watching several gameplay footage videos. Glad to see the reviews are pretty positive so far.

I'm a huge middle earth fan (my username might clue you into that ), but... I honestly don't know about this game. I get this weird feeling about it. It's probably really good, but I won't be buying it day one for this among other reasons (actually come to think of it I never buy PC games day one anyway). I might buy it during the winter sale if I upgrade my GPU over the holiday sales.

Bets:

1. If the Wii U sells closer to 10 million LTD by 1/3/2015 I win. If it sells closer to 9.5 million LTD by 1/3/2015 OfficerRaichu15 wins (winner gets 2 weeks of avatar control)--Lost.

Bought and paid for. This, Dragon Age and then probably nothing till Witcher 3. I'm not a huge fan of AC although I played all of them. I only own Black Flag for X1. Didn't enjoy the Batman games. Very iconic and pretty. Worth a playthrough and that's it. The few minutes of vids I've let myself watch on SOM looked nothing like those series.

A month or two in middle earth will absolutely blow away a week pretending to be a comic book character in a rubber suit. IMO. Maybe that's the difference. I can immerse myself in an open world with a no name or scratch character. I've never felt any sort of worship for comic superheroes. Tolkien would probably hate what's being done here but the chance of a roleplay in the world he created can't be missed.

Not sure. I don't care for the Lord of the Rings to be honest. However it looked interesting. Perhaps when it is cheaper in price.

I'm definitely more likely to pick it up now, with all the positive reviews. But I'm still wary, mostly because the game reminds me too much of Assassin's Creed. That being said, I like Monolith as a developer and I enjoy the Arkham games, which seem to have inspired the combat in Mordor.

Maybe I'll pick it up when it hits $20-$30.

Looks interesting but the Arkham references are putting me off. I didn't really care for the combat in those games. I like lotr for the adventure and travel, not so much the combat. Maybe not the game for me.

Honestly, I'll look for it in the bargain bin sometime... I think it'll do well enough to be around retail for a good while

I predict NX launches in 2017 - not 2016

Yeah but I kinda have a slight feeling it's going to disappoint, 2014 is just the year of over hyped games, I hope it's as good as it looks.

They should do a PS4 bundle with shadow of mordor, the hobbit one and two on blu ray and 30 days of plus for £350, especially with Christmas round the corner.
