Forums - Sony - Anyway to play PS4 on a TV that doesn't have HDMI?

I was CONSIDERING to get a PS4 sometime at the end of 2015 if the price drops and there are more games that interest me come out

However, the TV I use for console gaming is from like, 2005 and doesn't have HDMI, my tv works with component cables, AV cables, RF switch boxes, and S video, so if there is some adapter that can convert HDMI to component/AV please give me a link on amazon or something

To cheap to buy an new one, plus I mainly play old games and this tv is good for that

If you have a computer monitor you could use that perfectly.

My problem is that the HDMI ports have all stopped working on one of my TV's for no apparent reason. Fortunately I bought a HDMI to VGA converter so I am able to connect HDMI devices through the PC port and connect sound to an external device. Still annoying only being able to connect 1 HDMI device at a time.

You have anything on your TV that looks like this?

I wouldn't advise you to buy a $50 converter (latency + average image quality) when you could buy a used 1080p TV with HDMI input for maybe less than $100 on ebay, if you search just a little bit?

But maybe he really likes his TV? :p

There were some really nice, expensive sets back in 2005.
