Funny how you think the Sony fans all voted out Link just because. I'm a fan of both Sony & Nintendo now but that only happened 3 months ago. I was a Nintendo-only gamer before then. Yet, I voted out Link...

I just don't find him all that interesting, that's all. 

Link really should have stayed! . Him in LoZ SS shows the most personality of him than in any other Zelda game. I don't care if he doesn't speak.

And you wouldn't be the only Nintendo player I've heard that opinion from. I know not all the votes against him were, but the fact that Tingle was there (I don't hate Tingle, I just wouldn't place him above Link and doubt that most people would if they knew what kind of character he was) and Link was the Zelda character getting the downvotes astounds me. Not enough to downvote Tingle as Ninsect suggested, but I just don't get it. Though honestly I'm not sure how to treat the joke characters. And as far as I could see, aside from you, the rest of the Link downvoters were only upvoting Sony. I don't dislike Sony, but I get the feeling Link was targeted because he usually beats all the Nintendo characters, even Samus in these games. It's like how Master Chief was target so early, and probably would have still been targeted even if Gears or other Microsoft franchises had gotten representatives. Honestly, I just wanted to protect Link from an early end. If it came right down to it, I'd put Samus and Fox above him. The only Sony characters I'd really want to see reach the top 5 aren't on the list. Jak and Spyro. Ratchet absolutely deserves top 10, so I'm glad he made it this far. But I wasn't about to keep ignoring him when I wanted to get Link a few more spots. In the end, this game inevitably has a certain amount of strategizing. I wanted Link in the top 5, and he was being mercilessly attacked. So I voted down the characters I don't care for at all that looked like there was a chance of eliminating sooner than Link, to up his place. Then I started going after characters I like, but not as much as Link, who also had a chance of being eliminated, just to give Link a few more spots. If Link wasn't being attacked and say, Mario was being attacked, I wouldn't have given a shit.

You know, my biggest mistake in this game was equating characters with their series. I do genuinely like Link, but I wasted precious votes on Pikachu because I like Pokemon, when I don't even like Pikachu in particular that much.

If you noticed, I voted against Mario at the start of the game. His games are great but his characters if some-what "normal" to me. Once I saw that wasn't happening, I started to get out Link because I saw others were and I don't care for him much either. It was definitely more of "let's get him out of the way" for me.

I don't like or dislike Tingle so I just keep him. Yeah, this is a character game. I think Metroid is one of the worst Nintendo IP's out there, yet, I leave Samus alone because as a character she's pretty cool. A chick in a robot-looking suit? I can dig it
