Metal Gear Solid 4, I just can't see a multi-platform game moving more consoles than a exclusive.

Both will sell PS3s. that is all that matters.

MGS4 cause its exclusive.

Theres more reason to buy 360 version of GTA4 with bonus content.

Is GTA as popular in Europe as it in NA? I still think the 360 version would sell more with the exclusive content..

Last gen, I would have said GTA, but since it's spread across two platforms its' effect will be somewhat countered. I'd say they're about even, with a slight edge for GTA.

I think MGS4 will sell more games then GTA4 if it involves just the PS3. On another note at least for me I would rather by an exclusive game that my brother can't get then one he can get (He owns a 360).

first i want to say i know for a fact that both gta iv and mgs4 would sell huge amounts of copies, but i dont believe really none of them would really sell ps3 consoles and let me explain my answer. (besides ps3 in japan which they love mgs4 and theirs virtual no xbox 360 owners in japan)

first off, lets look back at ps2. gta 3 was on pc then it was ported to ps2. along w/ gran turismo 3 and tekken series, mgs2, 3 (subistance and snake eater) and final fantasy games (not 100% sure for all ff games being exclusive) all being exclusive to the ps2 which easily won the systems war between ps2 and xbox and other consoles. as you can see with the gta series sales

gta 3: around 10million

gta: vice city: close to 14

gta: san andreas: 12-13 million

it was easy if you wanted gta 3, vice city or san andreas (later 6months or a 1 year it came to xbox) and mgs2 you had to buy a ps2. right?

now we look at the ps3 and xbox 360. currently:

ps3: over 10million

xbox 360: over 17

now with gta iv theirs already over 17 million xbox 360 users worldwide. just say 1 out 10 users want to play gta iv they already have a console that equals the ps3 version. and plus 2 extra content.

now how many do you really think (xbox 360) would actually go buy a ps3 just for gta iv? virtual none. 

as for mgs4 it will sell huge amount of copies but as for xbox 360 owners wanting to buy a ps3 for that game alone (which i assuming was the meaning of the topic question) would be small.

like i said before mgs4 in japan would actually push the ps3 console, but in america and europe and australia people who already wanted to play mgs4 already bought a ps3.

now i think the only way that more ps3 consoles would sell is having a better deal like 3 controllers + 1 main title game or a price cutt.
