You do know that Sony does lose money because of investments? Making a game is also an investment. RnD for consoles is also an investment. Marketing for Sony TVs is also an investment.

Mojang for 2.5bn was a ridiculous waste of money, Buying a 1hit wonder studio that was established by an idiot that just ripped off other games and whose game is just good because of the community and not because its a java-mess.

140$ for me just because i have know that sony isnt able to forecast right...
they should drop mobile and tv, samsung is killing them there and m$ wants more marketshare in the mobilr biz and has the money to do so.(and the lumias are just awesome)

I do remember they advertised their 4K TV alot during the world cup. Cant have been cheap, though by  itself its not even close to explaining the loss.

MS deal is a start of an investment not a result. It is a simple thing to understand. Sony investment cause losses. Microsoft bought an asset for a future investment, the result is yet to be seen.

I agree the deal is bad though. But who am I to judge.

I understand Sony's a big company and all and could probably handle a couple of losses every now and then but how much more of this can they take?
