No one wants to hear your biased crap. GTA has always suited DS controllers far more than keyboard and mouse, that's more important than having slightly better graphics.

Anyways 8/10 on PS3, really? I can't take you seriously after this.

Still, I'll be getting this on PC down the road for the mods, but not worth getting at release on PC.

LoL, yeah that's why consoles had to have aim assist, because the DS controllers are just sooooo superior.  What's _hilarious_ is starting MP in GTAIV, turning off aim assist, and watching everyone cry...that shit is pure gold.

The game just feels great with a DS controller, never did with a keyboard and mouse. Of course PC is the best platform to play shooters, but those mechanics are only a fraction of what GTA is about. Driving and on foot sections feel vastly superior with a DS controller.

Beta testing? I played it on PS3 and it was a 10/10. I'll play it on PS4 again and it will be even better. How can a beta be so good? Think you need to take your words back, more likely the PC was barely even considered worth a port lol.

No clearly you have it wrong it was only an 8/10 on ps3, it will be 9/10 on ps4 and 10/10 on PC lol

Good thing then that on PC you can use DS controllers Xbox controllers and even Nintendo controllers, hey i guess whatever suits your playstyle .

DS controllers are not supprted by PC.

Anyways, console "beta testers" have been enjoying this masterpiece for over a year, while PC "master race" is waiting for the game since like forever. Even new platforms like PS4 and XB1 are getting this game earlier lol.

Also, has your PC yet got a port of RDR? No? Oh, don't worry, you'll never get the game, and probably not the sequel either.

Since I've read the entire thread I like how OP throws in the "Like i said "The Place to own Nextgen GTA5 IS PC!" and "Seems to me like the Early console release is just so they can beta test for us PC players to get a much more better version and Rockstar doesn't want to show the console players how Gimped their version will be compared to what PC players will be playing".

Totally isn't a setup for a flame baiting thread, no sir not at all.

I wonder if OP will generalize me and paint me as a "console fanboy/peasant" without knowing a thing about me at all and how he will claim I don't know a thing about him even though I can see everything including user history, I know exactly what to expect from OP after reading the history, I look forward to having my words twisted and claims of me "twisting words" even though the history speaks for itself.

And this reply totally isnt a bait tactic to get me to reply to you no sir .

Seems like you dont have much of a history here to look at unless this is some alt account your using??. But if you looked though my history you will see why i dispise Fanboys of any console or computer or device (I mean the hardcore fanboys). Its simply put cos they make fun of everyone else when something is delayed or they get the better version (Look at PS4 fans to Xbox fans this gen cos of res being lower on x1 games, or lastgen when it came to multiplats Xbox fans to PS3 fans etc) but dont like when the same is done to them. So as you see no need to twist words when the is simple facts..

You replied because you wanted to twist, starting with the opening sentence .

I don't use an "alt account" since I have no reason to have one (why would I ened one, does that entail something, please explain?), I look at your posts and I see more PC talk than I would bashing "console elitists", you said yourself in the OP that they were "beta testing" so PC could get "the better version" (which is akin to what PC players love to call the "real version") and stating the "Place to own Nextgen GTA5 IS PC", you still haven't answered that core part of what you're specifically getting at with your opening post.

If you're so admant against "elitists" then maybe you should drop the PC master race sig because it doesn't make you look any less different, you can claim but you're not upholding what you claim, I'm a multiplatformer so I see no need to allign myself with a single platform, if you're so multiplatformer as you claim to be then why do you have the one sig?, hell the other gaming data sig you own has more PC than the other platforms in terms of stats, I wouldn't say you're much of a multiplatformer.

You make fun of others as well, you can't exclude yourself from the result of what you're doing because that would make you a hypocrite.

Also a powerful saying "an eye for an eye makes the world go blind", you are doing just that with the opening topic, especially if you claim you're doing it to other "elitists", it doesn't do anything, no one learns anything and it;s obvious from the replies that you have indeed earned ire and contempt, you should learn from this as an experience not to become the elitist, not to ebcome one who deliberately earns ire in order to teach a very very small minority a "lesson" because at the end of the day they won't care nor will they pay heed, all it will result in is an eventual warning/ban from the mods the way you keep going, I'm not new since I've been browsing here for about a year and a half, I finally decided to make an account to start discussing which was obviously needed for a topic such as this.

"..." - To you.

However, the fact that they had to create aim assist, tells us that the DS controllers aren't all sunshine and rainbows for certain mechanics.  Personally, I never had a problem with either, certainly much more accuracy with mouse, DS is usable, but simply not my interface of choice for TPS/FPS games.  Never had any kind of problem walking or driving (lol), with a keyboard and mouse.  Only reason I stopped playing GTAIV on console, was because the game just looked and ran so much better on my computer, that's just a  natural result of having more resources to work with.

Have to disagree with you though, gunplay isn't just a 'fraction' of GTA.  Not even remotely close.  I would argue the majority of missions require you to shoot.

People who think like that really piss me off... PC gamers who think they're part of some so called master race because their games look a little prettier than console games.

False.  DS is not supported by Sony on PC, however, there's 3rd party software out there that works quite well.  I use my DS to play Mugen and KoFXIII constantly.

Not sure what you mean by the bolded.

I never said there was a problem with driving using keyboard and mouse, just that it feels vastly superior with a DS controller. Yes, games do look better on PC, but the tradeoff with GTA (driving) doesn't make it worth it.

As for the shooting part, yes shooting is major part of GTA, but not as much as driving. And shooting with aim assist on is still very enjoyable, even if it makes the game easy. All in all, his "beta tester" statement made little sense considering that this game is a masterpiece on PS3 and console "beta testers" have been enjoying it for over a year now. If I can have so much fun while "beta testing" I'll gladly do it.

Bolded was to point out that what feels better to you, doesn't translate to everyone.

And again, the tradeoff is opinion, interface has always been about opinion.  Some prefer controller, some prefer mouse and keyboard.  Mouse/Keyboard would still mop the floor against DS for accuracy.  Still hoping they can make the responsiveness better on controller as time goes on.

I would argue shooting is as important as driving in GTA, as there are main story missions you absolutely cannot get through without shooting, which require no driving at all (you could potentially just run to every location, also).  Aim assist is a crutch, nothing more, nothing less.

As far as the beta test thing, don't care, not commenting on it, and never mentioned it at all.

Eh, I'm glad I'm beta testing it so you PC guys enjoy it more.

I wonder if all this Red Dead Redemption beta testing was for something, though. After Bully and Max Payne 3, you'd think something would have happened.

Same goes for driving. Actually, without driving, every GTA game would have been a pain to play, let alone complete. You can atleast use melee weapons instead of guns in early missions usually, but there is just no substitute for driving in a GTA game IMO. Of course its all subjective, and your prefernces are obviously diferent from mine.

Besides aim assist is fully functional, and sometimes makes the game seem easier and more fun. I'd rather have it that way.
