360 does 1080p via component and HDMI. The 360 cannot output HD audio codecs though.

Exactly. Why they stopped shipping consoles? Hellifiknow. But they are coming back, with less value as did the 40gb. Maybe these have newer hardware?

No, there is no visual difference. The PS3 version of HDMI can do TrueHD (audio standard), which is irrelevant for the 360 since it doesn't support BD.
Does anyone here really think MS messed up their shipping pipeline because they wanted to remove bundles? That's stupid. All they have to do is start shipping non bundles and let the bundled units sell out first.
Either MS stopped production for some reason (possibly to try to fix the RROD issue) or they *wanted* supply to dry up for some reason. My bet would be on the former.
They had to remove/disemle all the assembled x360 with built-in HD-DVD... It takes time even for the chinese.
Lost my faith in VGChartz. Too many stupid and ignorant Americans, even as moderators.
It's a shame, really. "The Boss" should do something radical about this Americanization, but it seems hardly feasible, so my days here are numbered.

I play in standard definition on a mini dvd player.... so I could care less if it's HD.
Although it is perfectly fine with me from what i've seen at demo booths.
Sony fans are so happy their precious ps3 is a tinge more powerful than the 360.... they need something to convince themselves the games are awesome.

The disappearing bundles that you're talking about, is those with Forza2 & Viva pinata right?
So - the 350 price point seems about right to me - I'd say it's $100 better than Wii!

Any bundle period. Its just a console with no games on sale for $350. Same story at retail stores near where I live as well. The Elite also had no games in the package either. And those were fully in stock at the target, so I dontsee them sending out those new boxes and pulling them for something else again anytime soon.
You also mentioned Sony. What did they do and when? Withdraw the package bundled with Motorsperm?
