Titanfall is something else. It didn't have the hype and it wasn't promising tons of content. Titanfall is a better PvP game than Destiny, nothing more.

Are you kidding?

Please, tell me you're kidding.

Perhaps I should have spelled it out a little more.

Titanfall didn't have THE HYPE of Destiny. I don't feel Respawn mislead us into beleiving it was something bigger than it actually was. It was just a fun PvP game, as expected.

STAGE seems to agree with me when he said, "Titanfall is nowhere as grand as the vision for destiny."

The hype was still quite huge for Titanfall. Nobody can deny that.

And the jury's still out on whether or not Destiny is less than Bungie led us to believe.

Titanfall had hype and its a genuinely fun game, that's why the meta score is pretty good.

No, Desinty is a disappointment. The only thing we can hope for is Bungie uses those vast profits and turns it into something good. Ideally without asking for more than the $60 I already put into it.

Ok. Since you say so. It must be true.

Well... its not like I'm the only person saying its a disappointment. Its not exactly horrible either.

Its just nothing special right now and Bungie flat out mislead people about the product in its current state.

This.

It's almost depressing seeing the amount of Destiny aplogists all over the Internet clamoring about DLC and expansions and future content. I mean, what the fuck. I already spent $60. I understand it was known to be a lengthy series with lots of premium content coming later, but that doesn't mean it has to/should be at the expense of the offering in game one.

He doesn't get it. There is also a reason why the major review outlets haven't put out reviews yet. This game is an ongoing process. Its only the impatient small time reviewers who have completed reviewing it.

Also there are plenty of new IPs coming, DriveClub, Bloodborne and The Order are both new IPs. Then there is the Guerilla new IP, rumored Santa Monica new IP etc etc. There are also many projects that may or may not be new IPs, such as the game the Bend is working on.

err.... that was canned. stig left. the game just wasnt working out well.

dont forget rime, tomorrow children, knack, alienation and everybodies gone to the rapture. also Media Molecule and Quantic Dream are confirmed to work on new IP's too.

I know that (they've apparently lost 100 million on that game, insane) but I thought there were actually two new IPs that Santa Monica are working on? One was canned. Santa Monica is quite big, I doubt they are working on only one game at a time. Anyway, even if it doesn't exist or it is a new God of War there are no shortages of new IPs like you said.

No, you don't get it. The game at its core is a fucking bore. I'm level 20 now and still waiting to see what Bungie was boasting about.

Some of the impatient reviewers gave it some of its best scores. You're only bitter about the low scores.

Sorry but I was really hyped for Destiny and I believe the game got a LOT of potential but the current itteration is just not very good. I mean when you reach level 20 (which is VERY quickly and can be done in a day) you start farming (which is fine, like any MMO) but the content is very limited and the "activities" you can do are also limited (strikes, PVP and free roaming). Add to that a very poor story presentation...

I agree it is ongoing process but come on we can say that about a lot of game then. You cannot really rate Destiny on what it MAY become.

Do not get me wrong, I'm REALLY looking forward for the expansions and all that and I'm going to play Destiny like crazy but the initial game does not deserve a good score at all in my oppinion and it is a disapointment compared to other games like Watchdog/Titanfall.
