Forums - Gaming - Should MS Consider A $50 Cut To XB1 For November?

$349.99 XBox One with Minecraft bundled perhaps? Free Master Chief Collection download for Black Friday bundles (limited edition) on top of that? Would that tip the scales a bit?

MS can obviously afford it and really a $50 drop after 12 months on market isn't all that much to ask for.

I think if they did that and bundle it with MCC, it would be awesome!

Yeah I wonder what the development cost on MCC really is ... it's basically just Halo 3/4 running at 1080p and a proper remaster of Halo 2 right?

It's a high value game but it shouldn't be super expensive in terms of budget, so why not bundle it at least through the holidays.

Doesn't Microsoft run a $50 temporary price reduction most holiday seasons? With the 360, I know it became a regular thing. Would not surprise me in the least to see them return to that with the XO.

$349.99 MSRP with Master Chief Collection (digital download) for free through the end of January 2015.

That's a pretty sweet deal if they went that route.

I dunno I tend to think if you let competitors get too much of a lead on you then its harder to come back later.

Next year they will have more games like Tomb Raider and maybe Halo 5 and more third party games.

They should have dropped the price months ago,

Consider it? Should be their next fucking move considering how sales are going. Sony should also start bundling 1st party titles like LBP3 or Infamous Second Son for free with every PS4.

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

I wouldn't be surprised if they both got a $50 cut this year, at least temporarily for Black Friday weekend. Even if MS drops the price permanently, Sony would probably answer with a cut of their own. Wouldn't cost them much, as they have been making a profit on the HW for months, now.
