The hell? Last article I read said it's only a 25% improvement over the 5S!

Android users are all about specs because they're pissed their phones don't run as good and are less stable. It's all they have. Poor souls. |
Just get Cyanogenmod, and you won't have to worry about performance ever again. Unless you have a new Samsung phone, of course.
Seriously, fuck Samsung.

Yeah, buy a phone, then root, then wipe, then install cyanogen, then hope you did it all right and you didn't brick your device.
Yup, the average consumer wants to buy a product and then need to do a whole bunch of stuff to make it work like it should. What ever happened to getting quality products at time of purchase?
Have you installed Cyanogen? I have in the past and it isn't perfect. Still isn't nowhere near as optimized as iOS. iOS + jailbreak still runs a ton better than a rooted Android with Cyanogen. I speak from experience.
iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.
Currently playing:
Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

Note to everyone reading this: I'm a Windows Phone user, and will most likely use that OS for quite a long time. But that doesn't prevent me from seeing how a lot of you people are talking out of your asses when it comes to discussing iPhones.
How did this thread devolve into an Android vs iPhone shitfest ?
LOL no, that opinion is so off. The best mobile hardware right now is nVidia's TK1 in the Shield Tablet. It smokes the iPhone 6, and in terms of performance it's nearing PS3/XB360 but nowhere near PS4/XB1.

You're missing the point. Again. The picture I posted was a REBUTTAL to another picture. Your t-shirt analogy is not the same thing unless you wore it because you saw another person wearing another t-shirt saying they hated some other ethnicity. Maybe you conveniently missed 90% of the picture that showed specs between each phone and just went right to the insults at the bottom?
Also, you didn't answer my question, but it doesn't matter seeing as how this thread is about the iPhone 6 and consoles.

Yeah, it's sad when people get overzealous with bad facts and make a fool of themselves. Ah well. What can we do?

The risk of bricking your device is pretty miniscule, if you ask me. It's a easy as following simple instructions. That said, you have a point. If you want a device that "just works" you're probably beter off getting an iPhone. Android just offers SO much more freedom and flexibility out of the box that it wasn't even a choice for me. So I have to work it a little to get its performance to where I want it to be, it's not really an issue.
I have used Cyanogenmod(4.3) on my Galaxy Fascinate, and I'm sad to say that its performance was actually somewhat superior to my S4's when it came to simple tasks, whereas my dad's iPhone 4's running the latest iOS had slowed to a crawl. Although, in my experience, CM usually isn't the very best ROM when it comes to performance and features, it is a good place to start.
I haven't really looked into jailbroken iPhones, though. Can you at least get access to a fully featured file browser through jailbreaking? That's one of the many things that makes iOS feel so unbearably restrictive to me. That and having to go through iTunes to sync with my phone.
I've moved on(back?) from the pitiful GS4 to an LG Optimus G, and I gotta say that it is extremely fast, even with stock firmware. If new iPhones are faster, it's only barely. Honestly, I think phone performance has gotten to a point where most phones are "good enough" and there isn't a lot of room for improvement. Google's phones running vanilla Android perform admirably as well, though I can't speak for how they run once they're bogged down by dozens of apps. Google edition Galaxy phones are great as well. Heck, even the GS5 runs well with stock Touchwiz. Never thought I'd see the day that a Samsung phone ran faster than a Snail.
3 years ago, yeah, there was no Android phone that came close to iPhone(Or even Windows Phone) performance, but that's changing. Finally.

Yay, so it really does beat a phone from 2012 in some ways. Good job!
Now compare it to a 2014 Android phone.
Anyway, the thread title is misleading. The article doesn't say anything about PS4 and Xbox One, only "next gen" consoles. Mobile devices are actually within a stones throw of Wii U.
