Vita is not that far, its Wii with Open GL 3... GPU is its bottleneck in performance.

Haven't benchmarks shown that the iPhone 6 GPU is only a very moderate step up from the 5S?

This aside I don't see how, by any measure other than possibly resolution, you could even claim that the iPhone 6 or any other mobile device is in even the same ballpark as systems that draw orders of magnitude more power. Apple can't actually do magic.

I can only assume he was comparing the iPhone 6 to the Wii U's gamepad. Nintendo calls themselves a toy company. Apple is a cutting edge tech giant that can't manufacture powerful hardware to save their lives, so they patent rounded corners.

iPhone 5s is much more powerful than a Vita, iPhone 6/6+ would be moreso, though it seems that Apple didn't go for max power this time out and focused more on battery life. 

That's just plain weird. Perhaps the iPad that releases mid generation will have on par specs, but I don't see a phone getting there until after the end of this gen. Seriously, when will a phone get 8GB GDDR5 RAM, or even 8GB of DDR3 + some ESRAM?

Lol, that's funny.  And true.  I do have to say it's hilarious, but also sad, when you hear many uninformed people in public or on the radio raving about features that have been on Android phones for years.  I'm still shocked that for how much they ask for an iPhone, they haven't at least made them waterproof.  Then again, what do you expect from a company that started making their cords much shorter JUST so they could charge extra for a cable extender.
