It will be interesting to see how things will continue once its user base will be larger. What if at some point Capcom decides it's become appealing enough to make a Monster Hunter Freedom for it?

Doesn't it already have MHF on it?

Yes, but just a port of an old one from PSP, it can be a decent beginning when the HW base is still small, but to become a system seller it needs a new title.

MHF is a port of a MH from pc and it was released in all other console before coming to vita

PS4 - over 100 millions let's say 120m
Xbox One - 70m
Wii U - 25m

Vita - 15m if it will not get Final Fantasy Kingdoms Heart and Monster Hunter 20m otherwise
3DS - 80m

get over it, next time get a nintendo handheld.

That doesnt make sense since we would still be stuck in the same situation... except with one less thumb stick and worse graphics.

But, way better games.

Not really. If we wanted those, we wouldn't have gotten the vita in the first place.

It will stay and sell low.

I don't expect more than 15million lifetime.

I feel pity for the 9 million Vita owners.

With all respect in the world, keep your pity to yourself, Vita is not a 3DS in the category "quality / quantity of games" but it has served me very well and I do not regret the purchase. I even dare say that the value of my Vita outweighs the value of my 3DS for a simple reason ...

Free games from PS+: I have a PS3 and soon to Ps4, this means PS+ is a must for me and that means I will continue to have free games every month on my Vita! Muramasa, gravity rush, uncharted, dragons crown, Hotline miami, Soul Sacrifice, Street vs Tekken, and other!

I had a great time with 3D land, Pokemon, Fire emblem, animal crossing and Bravely Default, but hey! I had to buy these games, and spent over $ 200 with these 5.

On the other hand, after the $ 300 I spent on my "Vita/memory card" I did not have to pay anything extra to get all the games I mentioned earlier! It is so much material that I say that the Vita certainly has generated as much fun as the 3DS! But it does not end there, Psn will continue to give me games for free, ie, the "value" of the Vita will only grow! But the 3DS is different, I'll have to continue spending with him (soon with Smash, i will buy this with pleasure! Play with Megaman is epicness!)

Oh, I didn't know it, but even more so PSV needs a dedicated MHF title to experience even a moderate monster effect on sales.
With hindsight, Sony should have put resources in developing a first party RPG franchise heavily exploiting collecting attitudes and urges just like MH and Pokémon do.

I'll admit that I got a Vita mainly to play those freebies from the PS+, and so far I still don't regret it and in fact the money I spent justified the price and I was able to even sell that Lego game that came bundled with it. On the other hand, I eventually couldn't resist buying some games like P4G, Tearaway or K:M, because of their inevitable quality.

Sony's attitude towards Vita doesn't impress me at all with all things considered. But let's not forget that Vita has in fact support, despite doing so badly, just like the WiiU.

...Let the Sony Domination continue with the PS4...

Sony support was not bad at all Gravity rush,Soul Sacrifice,Uncharted,LBP,Killzone.

People complain about the lack of Gran Turismo and God of war but those games are not even on ps4

In contrast the only effort by 3rd party was Assasin creed, other 3rd party has just released some late ports Activision didn't want to even develop on vita the cod game

But PS4 has a more noteworthy library of games and always had promising library down the road.

Sony put some noteworthy games on Vita early on, but they've clearly given up. Now they're telling people the upcoming library is basically just ports of indie games and other niche stuff.

Late ports of noteworthy games can still move some hardware. It would also be a bigger effort than we're currently seeing from Sony.

You said 3rd party don't support vita because Sony stop supporting but 3rd party actually never support Vita, releasing only late ports of games is not a good support at all,PSP got a lot support for Sony even better then Vita but even after that 3rd party drop theirs supports.

But they still wrong to not continue their support with other games

They should look at other niche consoles, like the GameCube. It sold poorly, but in the end it made a profit to the company and had a lot of quality games. Instead of making a system everyone has, make it appealing to certain demographics that will spend tons of money into it. Localize all those japanes games of Vita/PSP/maybe PS3 ports?, make special offers for the memory cards (lack of space is KILLING THE CONSOLE) and make a profit out of a mix of hardware/software.

You know it deserves the GOTY.

You would think with all the success of the PS4, Sony would support Vita far better and do more to sell it to people. A real waste. I want more than indies
