Kojima did talk about wanting to do a remake of MGS1, which is understandable, seeing as how it looks extremely rough/dated as a first gen polygon graphics game.
There was Twin Snakes of course, but since that was Platinum Games and there were some odd changes made and it was coded for the GC, that game will never see the light of day in a Konami collection.
I would like to play the MGS series on the PS4 without doing it via streaming. As much as people like to bitch and cry about money-grabbin' re-releases, I love them if they're for a title I want to play on updated hardware.
But if that doesn't happen, and I don't get to buy the MGS series as a collection for the fourth time, I'm still pretty happy with the Legacy Collection, even without an updated MGS 1.
And I would buy them again. Can't help it with Metal Gear.

sony has no exclusive rights over mgs4, kojima just don´t wanted to make an xbox version, because he couldn´t fit the game on one dvd
I'm hoping it's the Legacy Collection that's on PS3 just on PS4 and Xbox One though.
