Ubisoft sending the game out to die confirmed.

For owners of Nintendo products only who want a new game, there's really nothing to compete for the gamers money.  Bayonetta 2 comes out almost one month prior and Super Smash Bros is coming out sometime in December(probably.)

It'll probably still sell poorly being a late port and all, but if it wasn't a late port and all versions were released the same date, the Wii U version would be in a great spot.

Well that is still better than delaying all the other versions further which would have increased costs and reduced profits from the versions which actually make them money.

No U version of any game they release in future or version for any Nintendo platform would make them money if they're all handled in such a way that's the point, this kind of handling has been happening for ages which is why the userbase don't jump on any game they release. In an industry with ever increasing costs each gen the is going to come a point where they have no choice but to hit every platform as their chosen markets aren't enough (even now breaking 1m is not enough and the market for consoles seems to be shrinking) and that is where the wayward handling of certain userbases starts to come into affect.

Im a Wii U only owner so i will be buying Watch Dogs. Delayed or not, it is still another good game to beef up the Wii U library. Ubi might lose out on sales, but for Wii U fans it is a nice alternative if they fancy playing something M rated.

People like you exist? You plan on getting a PS4 later?

I'm very happy with my Wii U, I have tons of games for it and a high percentage of them are very good indeed. I love Nintendo games and the other great exclusives Wii U has to offer. I pick out the best of what 3rd parties offer (although not a lot) so I've always had something to play. With Wii U and 3DS I have this gen covered, so I prob wont be getting a PS4, plus it can become very expensive. PS4 is a fine machine though.

Its good that you are getting this game, I've played and finished it on my PS4 and its a very enjoyable open-world game. Has a lot of content and its a must buy for fans of open-world games. I give it an 8.7/10, and I hope you enjoy it as well :)

Thank you, i hope its a good port :)

Hype = dead. At one point I wanted to buy it day one. Now I wait till it's cheaper. Or maybe it comes to PS Plus for PS3. Will wait a bit longer.

When it will be on WiiU for 60 bucks its probably already 5-10 on steam (christmas/winter sale etc) Everyone knows that alot of Nintendo gamers dont buy third party games thanks to their lack of value and them dropping prices. Expecting them to buy an "old*" game 1 year later for 12x the price is a joke

* btw "old" because Ubisoft said "we wont release RaymanLegends on WiiU even tho its completed because if the other versions would release later noone would buy them on PS360 because the users would feel its old. Thats why we also delay the Wiiu version and as an extra we can fine tune the game even more and add additional stuff"

Third party has double standards when it comes to Nintendo.

Btw I will also be playing GTA5 on PC then so even If the game would be new i wouldn't care

I think I will buy it, but for the reasons mentioned above, after Bayonetta 2, I won't have any single player game to look forward at the Holidays, Toad game was delayed here in Europe, and Smash Bros will keep me busy but only multiplayer wise.

You're saying they could have sold 100k more for no additional expense, but doing so would be a BAD business decision?  I can't take you seriously, that just makes no sense. And I didn't say a simultaneous release, you obviously didn't read my posts. I said a summer release, well after Mario Kart, during the Wii U game drought. It would have sold near PS3/360 version sales.

I think you are failing to grasp the concept, they SPLITTED the development team for 5 months to make the other versions to reach on TIME and take advantage of the hype, the cost of those extra 100k units would had been HUGE as the others versions would not have arrived on May, meaning a lot of money would had been lost.

And you are ignoring previous evidence if you think the sales of arriving on time would have been even 50% of those on PS3/360, the install base simply is not there, the audience is also not there, you want a fair comparison, look at the sales of Batman: Arkham Origins, or Assassin's Creed IV to have an idea, the first one got 10% of the sales of the 360 version and even less than 10% for the PS3, for the second one the situation was even worse. Lets be VERY optimistic and say it would reach 15% of the 360 or PS3 edition Combined, that would only mean 300k units.

They don't guess, they look at previous numbers and they make sound bussiness decisions, and I have to admit (even if I don't like it), they made the right one.

retarded in every sense. without the bullshit delay, all versions would release in late june or early july. the other versions would sell the same but the wii u version would sell much better than now.

my dear cherry picker, assassin's creed and batman are only two franchises. and in case you didn't notice, AC4 and Arkham origins had a severe decline over their predecessors. the wii u versions are at least tracking above the predecessors, unlike the ps360 versions.

by the way, US pre orders for watch dogs on wii u were far higher than even the first week sales of any AC or batman on it, and that was all the way back in february.

So, whatever you say to yourself, they didn't do the right choice. actually, they made the worst possible choice by telling consumers to screw themselves. the game would have easily sold 500k+ on wii u but now sales will be much lower while losing respect of nintendo fans.

The game would have come after MK8, but at the cost of the PS3, Xbox 360, PS4 and Xbox One editions that sold Millions coming during the period of time were gamers buy the less games out of the full year, that is a cost too high to pay.

The install base of the Wii U may be higher but those customer only buy and play exclusive titles, ask around and you will see that many people bought it just to play the Mario, Zelda and Smash game, not to get 3rd party games. When there is an overlap in user base, they will buy the version of the other console, not the one on Wii U.

New IP or old IP, the difference is not going to be double or triple, as I said even if you are very optimistic, anything above 400k would be nothing short of a miracle, just look at Rayman Legends 360k and it is undoutbly the best edition, with extra content and exclusive features.

About that "pleasing the customer", you are mistaken... They are not trying to please EVERY customer, just the ones that produce the most revenue, they are trying to please the shareholders like any other company, if they can do that only catering to the Sony and Microsoft customers they will do it like that, as it is happening now. I am a "Nintendo" customer, so I am not happy with their decision, but if you think about it with a cold head, you will realize that is the correct one and I cannot blame them for taking it, if I was running the company I would have done the same.

LMFAO, don't be ridiculous. RAYMAN? it's 360k AND COUNTING. will easily cross 500k and sold more than the x360 version and a little less than the ps3, both with much bigger installed bases. and that's EVEN THOUGH it had that pathetic delay, remember?

bolded: go home, you're drunk.

bolded 2: delusional lie.

give up, dude. ubisoft fucked up, there's no defending it.

This is exactly my point in the other thread, bad handling like this is also known as devaluing your own product in business it's basic understanding of the consumer, it's how ever lost on this industry where they live in this dream world where the consumer owes them.

Well that is still better than delaying all the other versions further which would have increased costs and reduced profits from the versions which actually make them money.

It wouldn't be delaying the other versions. it would be releasing every version on the correct time.

Why would I even have a Wii U if I wasn't getting Smash? If you have a Nintendo system, you get Smash and Mario Kart, it's just what you do.

I'm a Wii U owner and hardcore NIntendo fan, and I wouldn't touch Smash with someone else's ten foot pole. :P
