Forums - Gaming - How would you score Destiny so far?

I think its good so far but the game as a whole lacks content as i expected. Get ready because Activison is gonna f**k us hard with DLC.

Around the Network

Shame to hear the consensus is that story sucks. I've enjoyed the game in the Beta, not to buy it Day 1, but one thing that we didn't know much from the Beta was story, so I was curious how is it as it's always a very important part of the game for me.
Will probably buy in 2015 now.

So it is happening...PS4 preorder.

Greatness Awaits!

I ended up not getting it after I heard about the DLC coming in December. I think I will buy the complete edition, whenever that is. I think 2015 holidays they will advertise Destiny GOTY edition or something. 2016 holidays could already be Destiny 2.

It's natural that many people are a bit disapointed cause it was advertised like it would be THE game and the hype created is insane.
Even if it is a 8,5/10 with the amount of people that bought this, it is natural that many will be disapointed.Even more are pleased, but these people probably play the game and don't comment that much on the internet.
I believe (from what I've played in the beta cause I don't have the full game) that it is a really fun coop game if you know what to expect.
I might buy it if a GOTY editon is released.

The fun thing is that I was never really interested in either Destiny or Watch Dogs when "everybody" else seemed to be, cause they just didn't do it for me.
Actually I was hyped for Destiny when I played the beta bu t only for a week.
And what do you know...these games turn out to be just good games and not THE games.
Lucky me cause I don't like being disapointed.

Games that I'm actually hyped for:
The Wicher 3
Uncharted 4
Batman Arkham Knight
BLOODBORNE

If all of these turn out to be Fantastic, I will name myself the Game Detector (kidding)
Anyway....enough of me talking.
Enjoy Destiny people.

I know online was Titanfall's only mode but has anyone played both? How does Titanfall compare to Destiny in the multiplayer department?

It feels like you are playing totally two different games o_O...

Not much of a comparison......

Their is really not much to compare,  the MP from destiny is in my opinion it's weakest part and I could already not get into it in the beta... I dislike the idea of playing against people who are a higher level than me and have a way better loadout, my first game was with pistol (and not a halo CE pistor but a Halo 2 pistol) that hardly did any damage when some of the other team had a battle rifle and could reach me from far and did more damage;. Also the classes you and your team member have are important...    I really not like the MP it is like they barrowed a little bit from COD/HALO/BF4/CS/etc... and end up with a result that doesn't work so well...    Best thing is to try it for yourself..

The other problem I found is enemy 'boundaries'. In any mission you choose to do, even when you get shrouded in darkness, the enemies will not follow you past a certain point, making hit and run way too easy with regenerating health. There should be something to stop you going back, like a door that shuts behind you or a wall too high to jump back up onto. Even in the guard the ghost missions you don't need to be anywhere near it as it doesn't actually get attacked by anything.

Well im glad i spent like 55$ on this game and no more, its a good game and its even better when u try it with friends but i wont give it anything more than a 8 but a solid 8 that is.

Add me if u want :)

If you find the missions repetitive you should experience the strikes. Huge bosses that offer hectic fun.
The strike on the moon is ludicrous. Giant Ogre with basically a laser gatling for a face laying down constant suppression fire while waves of adds harass you. It's nonstop run and gun. It's also actually hard. It's set for level 12 but I'm seeing groups of level 18s get wrecked.

The public events are also interesting diversions. One is having a giant spider tank dropped into the zone and it becomes a outdoor boss. Another is like a reverse escort I guess? A enemy with absurd health has to be killed before it reaches it's goal, basically requires people from all over the map to swarm it.

They are just as repetitive, nothing but bullet sponges, no tactics just shhot, go behind cover, reload, shoot, the design of this game is as derivitive as it gets. Game is the definitio of average  imo, other then graphics and sound, even PVP is dull.

How else is a boss suppose to be in a FPS game?

Umm tactics, strategy, variety...this game lacks all of it. Many boss encounters in FPS games are way better then anything in destiny. Every encounter is the same.
