So basically, according to Famitsu, it was the worst home console launch in Japanese history. Got it.
I predicted 16.5k. Was of by 6.5k mainly because I forgot that it was a 4 day launch, not 2 like the PS4 and its 322k.

Fun fact - it comes out to exactly 14 times more PS4s in half the time.

The irony is Microsoft would actually have to moneyhat them to not not release on their system in Japan.

Are those numbers accurate 23K? I knew the launch was bad but was expecting around 40k which in the end seems to be the amount they shipped.

Now I remember my estimates between XB1 and PS4 from 1 year earlier, and this is what I had to say

Given the initial buyers are usually hardcore gamers, the more casual gamers usually tend to prefer the more popular console, so we can only expect the situation to be either steady or go worse for XB1. If the rates were not already too low, I would suggest a definite worsening but in this kind of situations where numbers are too low, what they call a "mean reversal" may happen, since there is no hardly any way but to go up.
