I'm sure Sony fans will praise $ony even though it's the same as Microsoft done with Tomb Raider for Xbox One the all in one entertainment system. Damn ponies and their double standards, I hate them.

Also totally worth it Sony...



So it is happening...PS4 preorder.

Sony did the same with Destiny and we know they went for the publishing rights in Japan... Same here especially because the division of WB posted 'Sorry'..

Hmm would not be surprised we see the same happen in China with MS then doing it...or Sony must act quickly and launch the PS4 soon in China..

But the games X1 is losing in Japan happens to be games Sony is buying exclusive advertising for. That doesn't seem fishy?


Just between you and me: Sony don't need to pay to get exclusivity in Japan against Microsoft.

To me it really sounds more that is not worth to publish the game in XBO there, I mean, the console and brand (XB) are almost irrelevant there.
360 had a decent market there and got some stuff, but ONE is proving to be really, really irrelevant as not even at the week of launch any game could reach a TOP 20 position in Tsutaya to give as a example. It would be ilogic to release games there to don't achieve profit.

Why would Sony pay for exclusivity for western games in Japan? Even in Sony consoles they don't sell that well.

It´s not like they have to developer to a new platform from the ground up.

I can understand that happening with most of wierd japanease games. Batman, Destiny and any other wester game are purely bussiness deals.

They could even bother to release digital downloads if they think shipping to Japan wasn´t worth.

Yup. Localization and distribution in Japan are not worth whatever sales the Xbox One version of those games would give them.

So, the costs to change the button prompts from X to A are overwelming, or they have to translante again and re-dub the XOne version ???... because you can´t do more than that with localization.

What button prompts? Those are already there in the other Xbox One versions of the game. I never mentioned that.

Distribution is costly if the product doesn't sell enough.

The publisher is in charge of localization, so Sony probably took care of Japanese dubbing and subtitling too. Localizing costs money.

There must be X1 markets as small or even smaller then Japan. Will they also see Destiny and Batman as PS4 exclusives? Probably not.
