One might think most people would support parties by the pure objective goals but it's not so. Parties flip flop all the time and yet their most ardent supporters don't care. They're worshipping them as much as some fan does his sports team. Fandom is irrational. It makes no difference what you are a fan of.


I pretty much agree with this. Of course it sohuld be noted that is the most extreme people in those general/political fandoms. The same cannot be said for most fans but when those fans reach the extremes within the fandoms that's when they pretty much becom the same.

People can't just buy their way into it. Just like you don't have to own them all to be enlightened. It is a mind set, a perspective, and when you get down to it a belief system. If someone is such a deep fan of one console that they are willing to stretch the truth, deny reality and put their bias of a console before their love of games then it doesn't matter what they buy because they still have an extremist and fundamentally flawed mindset/perspective.

Limiting oneself to only one console is never a good idea, though yes, it does mean shelling some more cash. However, it's well worth it. My Playstation, Nintendo, and PC combo works absolutely great.
