in nyc you can get a 360 ANYWHERE with no problem my frind bought one today walked right into bestbuy in brooklyn and they had stacks in the center floor to choose from

while the 360 may have some supply shortage, i think its no where near as supply constrained as the wii.

i think once mgs 4 comes out that the ps3 will really start beating the 360 in sales.

No. They really don't need to change much. What they need is to get more titles out there. Since Halo 3, there hasn't been enough games. They need more, and more exclusives.

The gap is closing slowly. If Sony can keep this up, then Microsoft will have to find a way to boost their sales.

the shortage is a bullshit excuse for poor sales. seriously why would 360 be having trouble sellingg after 2 years and ps3 doesnt? i walked into my local bestbuy in brampton, canada yesterday which is close to toronto and i saw 9 pro skus

No they don't. They may pay attention to overall user base and use current sales to predict for future games but third parties don't give a rat's ass about attach rates.

Talk about a pyrrhic victory... Look guys, we had an attach rate of 50% with Game X!

Exactly Rocketpig. Sony fanboys always go "NAH UH" when someone talks about the 360's attach rate in Japan, but then turn around and go 'but look at da cellz attaches dominationz in da USA!!!!'

 Of course it does, the 10+ million in US is huge for microsoft.

 but developers also look at future attachment ratio, like EA, they make their own predictions and focus their attention on what's going to sell 1 year from now.
