I am just curious why there are differences in prices for the same game across console generations and also compared to pcs. With developers devloping the game (in many instances for one of the newest current generation consoles) and then porting over to the others, why are those other platforms cheaper than the one on which it was developed for? Is this more a historic thing with PC games being cheaper to produce and distribution standard dvds and to combat piracy? With distribution costs being the same, packaging very similar why is there still the large price differences between the platforms.
For example in the UK - Fifa 2015 from Amazon.co.uk
PC - £37
Xbox360/PS3 - £40
Xbox1/PS4 - £44.86
