One of the common complaints I hear from gamers is that there is a lack of games to consume.  This Is usually contrary to the fact that a lot of  us have extremely large backlogs from current and prior console generations.  With the advent of services like PlayStation Plus and Games With Gold, as well as bargain pricing Humble Bundle deals, a lot of us are finding that we have more gaming media that we can every hope to consume. 

If there is no hope to ever play all these games, Why do we collect them?  Is it consumerism, or are is collecting games a hobby in of itself?

How big is your backlog?  Is it growing or shrinking?

There are games that I will never play, unless I get a vacation or something crazy like that =D Unemployment would not work cause I cannot game while my life is in a big crysis, like disease, distress or some big turmoil.

Tell me about it.

Not eternal, but I do have a slightly big backlog and a large wish list too.

This makes me feel better. Mine is only about 5-10 long. I generally only buy games that I either know I'm going to play, or on Steam sales/Humble bundles because I'm sure one day consoles will cease to exist as is, and it'll be nice to always have Batman: Arkham Asylum available.

Just counted, I'm down to 11, but got 2 games coming in the mail so I guess I'm at 13.

Really hoping for a current gen version of this!
