Assassin's Creed Unity will launch on November 11 in North America and on November 13 in Europe, a delay from the previously announced release date of October 28 in the US. Ubisoft says the extra two weeks will be spent bringing the game up to fans' and the team's expectations.

"As we got close to the finish, we realized we were near the target but still needed a bit more time to hone some of the details to make sure Assassin's Creed Unity is exceptional," Ubisoft Senior Producer Vincent Pontbriand says in a press release. "We sincerely appreciate players' commitment to the game and their patience. It's just a couple more weeks. And it's going to be worth it."

Well that's good, I rather have a game take its time and release without the need of patches. Good work Ubisoft .

My observations:
- Same day as AC: Rogue on last-gen
- A week before Far Cry 4 - Ubisoft wants to pack a strong sales 1-2 punch

If I'm not mistaken, AC:U has a marketing deal with XOne. And now it comes out the same day as MCC. This will probably be bad for both games, but AC will definitely suffer more.
I expect the PS4 version to handily outsell XOne version, 2:1 or more.

EDIT: Or as someone else noticed in another thread, this could be great for XOne sales, packing two bundles for people with differing tastes. This week, as well as the one prior with CoD, might give XOne a big boost and a November victory.

At least they're not pulling a battlefield...

Oh no that means:

1. AC unity + rogue
2. Dragon age 3
3. Far cry 4

All in 2 weeks , my wallets going to take a hit :(

But it's going for good cause, all of look just wayyy to good to skip and I hope they all sell well.

So same day a Rouge. I think this gonna confuse casual AC fans and I think one game is going to suffer. Why not release one this fall and another in Q1?

I wonder how many people will upgrade to a next gen console and how many will just buy Rogue.

A short delay, but enough to mean I won't be picking it up at launch anymore. With the MCC coming out the same day and Dragon Age Inquisition releasing a week later, I got no time for anything else that month

Doubt Mordor will be delayed, it was actually brought forward a week.

I'm still on the edge with that one, it just looks like Assassin's Lord of the Creed Rings
