Forums - Gaming - Xbox boss on Uncharted: I wish we had an action-adventure game like that, but we don’t

Well now I'm confused.

Gears of War had monsters from underground. I wouldn't call them aliens. If I recall correctly, Uncharted had monsters and stuff but never anything from outer space.

Anyway I look at it, this timed-exclusive deal for TR sounds extremely stupid. All Microsoft has got from it was even more negative press. I digress.

Yeah people have better games because its not hard to make mediocre games. 1 out of 4 Uncharted games is good (UC2) 1 is okay (UC3) 2 are crap (1 and GA)

Tbh to this day I wonder how Uncharted 1 got 2 sequels. Uncharted 2 is the first really good game made by ND but even that was predictable. UC3 is worse than UC2 and the Vita version is crap.  Even TLoU's A.I. is crap and its breaking its own rules.... and the game cant even run at 30fps with 1 enemy on screen (goes from 18-26 when there is some action)

Naughty Gods? my ass.

Personally.

Uncharted 1 - 8/10 game

Uncharted 2 - 11/10 game

Uncharted 3 - 9/10 game

Oh wait, opinions.

Never played U: GA, so no comment on that.  But TLoU AI is great, just problematic.  (Feel like I have told you this before.)  I haven't seen the frame rate go down that low.

But that's my opinion, just like this is yours.

You did but how is problematic not bad? Care to elaborate?

If you really like Uncharted try GA but dont expect to much its the worst game in the series. But you wont miss alot if you skip that entry.

In my opinion

Uncharted 1 - 7.5/10

Uncharted 2 - 8.5/10

Uncharted 3 - 8.0/10

Uncharted GA 7.0/10

Btw

Do you know the feeling when there is a song you "like" but it gets played on the radio all the time until its fucking annoying? And you start to hate it? Thats happening with Uncharted/ND and me. The games are okay but all the "naughty gods" bullshit is so annoying that I cant help but start to dislike them simply for their fanatics. Its a Yin & Yang thing. Eveytime there is way to much praise I have to balance it with some reminders of how reality looks like.

If they wanted some sort of exclusive comparable to Uncharted, Tomb Raider does fill that void.

I've enjoyed the Uncharted series, but Tomb Raider was arguably better.

Da hell? Uncharted isn't an action adventure, its a shooter...

I'm on Twitter @DanneSandin!

Furthermore, I think VGChartz should add a "Like"-button.

They could easily just loosen up gears a bit, make the characters lighter, more agile and get better writers

"he said. “This whole thing that, like, we just somehow found something that Sony fans love and said, ‘Hey, if we just drop millions of dollars then they can’t go play the game.’ That’s not how it played out.”

So what other reason could there possibly be for making the deal on a game that was going to be on XB1 anyway? oh right... dropping millions of dollars so sony fans cant go and play the game.

If you read the whole interview you he actually tells you.  You do not have to believe it but he does give you an answer.  He even says that they were approached by SE with this deal.  Seems stupid for MS if you have the money not to take it especially if it fills a gap in your lineup.

Yes, negative today, could be very positive if CD delivers.  Anything can happen between now and holiday 2015.  If CD can create a hit, then people would be calling the deal great.  Should be interesting next E3 when its on stage.

But they have Gears. As far as I know they're pretty similar. Both 3rd person and with shooty guns.

You said the only two things about those two games that are similar.

One is a third person action game period. One is a third person action adventure with puzzles and stuff.

Actually, better take; one is like Starship troopers, the other is like star trek.

So they're both scifi?

lol... you must not have watched starship troopers and star trek.

hint... in one ppl shoot mindless aliens. In another people try and outsmart very smart aliens, (while still shooting at them of course)

Neither have aliens.

you didnt write "/s" at the end of your comment.....

gears of war, vanquish... those are shooters. from start to credits all you do is shoot and progression is based on how well you can shoot and avoid getting shot at.

Uncharted or tomb raider, those are action adventure games. There are sections where you have to shoot, but there are also platforming and puzzle sections too. So if you can't do the platform bits, you don't progress if you can't figure out that puzzle, you don't progress.

Thats the main difference between gmes like gears and games like uncharted or tomb raider.
