How is this a bad thing? 6 hours is a long ass time. Seriously, who plays a demo for more than 6 hours? I can understand why EA used this approach. this gives you the full game for a limited time, therefore it costs them basically nothing. It's definitely simpler that packaging a seperate demo.

Also, how does this majically make EAAcces a bad deal? The vault is still there, as are the 10% discounts. I mean, you could sign up for a month of the service for $1 less than what you'll save off a brand new game.

Let me lay it out for you guys. You buy a month of Access to try the new Madden. You play to your fill, and decide you want to purchace the game when it comes out. When you buy it, you get a $6 discount thanksto your $5 EAacces subscription. If a penny saved is a penny earned, you just earned a dollar, and you get a month of access to the vault for free. There's just no complaining about that.

Personally.. 6 hrs isn't long enough to evaluate a game like Madden.. Is all I'm saying.  You all seem to think, oh.. "We get to play a full demo" and that's all that seems to matter, but with each iteration of Madden comes new nuances, controls, and gameplay.  Even as limited as a locked 5 min qtr and only 4 teams available on the last Madden demo, being able to play the demo as long as you wanted to helped you discover those nuances which influenced your buying decision.  Not to mention all this was FREE on ALL platforms usually available 2 weeks before retail release once upon a time... 2 wks before, free, and unlimited >>>> 5 days before, behind paywall, and 6hrs limit.  

At the very start they never mentioned anything about a time limit. EA has been all over on this one so yeah, they misled people. Why are you shocked? This is EA after all.

Now Ubisoft and soon Activition will be expressing interest in starting the same thing.

I am trying to find it, but when it was originally announced they did not mention it they sure as hell did not mention it would be different for each game... so you can see how people would be misled. EA has a history of being shady that cannot be denied.
