This could be interesting. Would be a good way to get some of those stupid co-op / multiplayer trophies.

I like it.

FYI there are plenty of trophies/achevements you can only get via co-op PSN/XBL. I guess it is to encourage people using the online component. Sucks when you start playing a game well after the online community has moved on.

Getting an XBOX One for me is like being in a bad relationship but staying together because we have kids. XBone we have 20000+ achievement points, 2+ years of XBL Gold and 20000+ MS points. I think its best we stay together if only for the MS points.

Nintendo Treehouse is what happens when a publisher is confident and proud of its games and doesn't need to show CGI lies for five minutes.

Why would you need to download then game each time you want to play a friends game? It keeps saves, surely it can also keep the game downloaded.

Nice idea, can't see it having any sort of impact though. Something people will talk about way way more than they actually use.

i don't think we need to download the game, i think it is using PlayStationNow feature...

i.e. it use streaming feature to view your friend playing, taking over his game will use the same streaming command you have input on your control and sent back to his game...

this feature might need the same PlayStationNow requirement which is both user's internet speed at least must be 5mbps, and it will have a little input lag same as playing PlayStationNow games...

I'm talking about the discussion regarding streaming versus downloading. The response to downloading was that you'd have to download the game each time you used the feature. I would think you could download once then be done, if you want to keep the data on the console. Similar to how Sony said they'd auto download games for you based on what you played and bought.

What a big fuss about nothing.

Of course they would do something so that you don't just leave your console on all day and have your friends complete games for free.

No? Not any sort of impact? You don't see the usefullness of a feature like this? You sure?

Bet with Adamblaziken:

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

such an amazing feature..

...means all those indie's that can't support native online co-op now have online co-op exclusively on ps4. half the games ever released are now "better on ps4". hell, if it works well i wouldn't be surprised to see some developers just drop online co-op entirely and let ps4 to take care of that for them.

How is taking turns on the controller coop?

You do know that if you shareplay only the remoteuser can play?

Not true, playing coop and multiplayer using shareplay is possible.

Seems you are right. Some sites reported it differently. So it's actually an absolute killer feature. Except that it all depends on the internet connection. So the experience for the visitor will be even worse than PSNow.

Internet speeds will hopefully get better over the next couple years, but yeah the internet speed definitely seems to be the weak link in that whole equation.

a connection with 10Mbps download and 3Mbps upload speed gonna be enough or not? this is like a very average connection speed in EU or the US but lol im in top 100 in Iran xD

Add me if u want :)

That should be enough, but I think the distance between two consoles will also be a factor...

No, like demo access. You realize they can do stuff like that right? That's what EA is doing with their service, full game trial for 2 hours. Download the file but then I have to auhorize him to play it with those 10 trial keys they announced. Is it really that radical an idea?

This is MUCH better than that, which is obviously why Sony turned EA down. Invite a friend, DONE.

You're missing my point. It's not better for me, it's non-existent for me because my internet is not good enough. Obviously in a perfect world where everyone has some amazing internet this would be better.

if your net isny fast enough to stream the chances of you downloading a 50gb file are slim anyway.

honestly people are moaning over the most retarded of things 'i want to be able to play it locally!'  then download the demo or buy it,  simple as that.

features awesome imo.
