Forums - Gaming - I've got some more info for you on Destiny DLC plans

So there is a third, exclusive expansion? That is news to me, but good, I guess.
I will not be buying a season pass, who knows what I'll be doing in December or March, but it's good that there will be more story arcs. That will be my focus.

Why you waste money on this Sony :

Sony must have went back for more after seeing how micro wants to play with tomb raider.

Thanks jlmurph!

So let's get this straight

All consoles will get the DLC expansion, but Sony has timed exclusivity over part of the expansion

Bleh

I can't pretend that I like their whole plan, whereby you keep buying expansions forever. But that's probably why I'm not buying the game. I actually want a nice cohesive story. I'm even slightly dodgy about the Mass Effect DLC, the entire story should be finished when I play the game (unless it's a little epilogue or something). I don't want to have to play it again just for some side missions

But the entire structure of this game seems like it's a story that never ends, which just doesn't appeal to me. Well that and the fact it seems structured around co-op

Now I just need to know the price.

well i play on ps4 so yay me but xbox is getting screwed. not sure which is worst,.. destiny or tomb raider.

Why didn't they announce that exclusive stuff at Gamescom? Would've been at least half a megaton.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

The first two expansions are 20 individually.  35 if you buy them together with the expansion pass, or 30 if you buy the ghost edition of the full game.

Just seems odd to me that they have all the DLC planned out already when the game isn't even release while other devs don't really start doing anything on the DLC until the game is actually shipped.

Nah, for games like this they have to plan their dlc way in advance.  Anything that has story elements more voicework, art assets, etc. takes a very long time to put together.  If they wanted to release it while the game is still fresh, they have to start work on it well before the game ships.  Usually they have a seperate team that will start working on dlc about a year out from launch.

Games like call of duty that just release a few new maps every couple of months can wait until after the game is finished before they start working on it. But for something like this, it isnt odd at all and should be expected that they are working on dlc before the game launches...

Probably will buy them together then. And thanks as well.
