The Witcher 3 Collector's Edition getting exclusive physical content on Xbox One

Cloth map and physical card decks only available on Xbox One.

The Xbox One version of The Witcher 3 Collector's Edition is to receive additional physical content unavailable in the PS4 or PC versions, Bandai Namco has announced.

Exclusive to Xbox One, the collector's edition will now contain a physical cloth map and two Gwent card decks, allowing players to play The Witcher 3's in-game card game in real life.

"Gwent is an amazing game and we're really happy to be able to bring it to the physical realm with Microsoft's help," said CD Projekt RED co-founder Marcin Iwiñski. "Now we've got Gwent in every copy of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt as an in-game experience for free on every platform, and a physical version in the Xbox One CE, how awesome is that?"

"Gwent is a fast-paced card game that can be played within The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt on every platform," added the studio. Not surprising, they have a marketing deal with MS.

But I really don't think a map and game cards will make any difference. When people buy this kind of Collector Edition, they mainly want the figure.

Well, you might be right, but what I desire most is that medallion!

MS or Sony can throw in whatever meaningless exclusive bonuses they want, i'll still get it on PC

Same. These look reeaaaaaally nice. But cards and a cloth map ? Meh.

What? I thought CD was against this stuff...

While it is not something like "OH WOULD YOU LOOK AT THAT", I remember holding in my hands the cloth map of Dragon Age: Origins. It is certainly beautiful.

Having two maps kinda defeat the purpose here, though, but still. I wish someone puts the cards on Ebay, though

They were talking about the game itself. It will be the exact same on each platform (apart from performance differences).

There's no harm done if they only add a few things to the CE.

If its anything like the one that came with Skyrim, it will be glorious.
