Have you even checked the shipment numbers? MS announced 5 million XBOs shipped as of April 1st, and in the last quarterly report  22nd july they said that 360 and XBO shipments combined were at about 1,1 million for that quarter (21 April to 21st July). Now factor in the 40 extra days that aren't counted this means the possible (and not at all likely) total shipped numbers for the XBO is  ~6,4 million, while it's most likely ~6,0 million (I'm assuming that at least 400k of the 1,1million combined is 360s). No matter what your 7,5 million shipped for the XBO is completely wrong.

As I already corect, I was thinking it was 6mi quarter 1.

But it´s realy hard to belive that the 360 would ship almost twice the XOne and drop only 20% YoY.

The 360 ship twice the X1 and only down 20% YoY? I said that I assume the 360 shipped 400k which means the X1 shipped 700k. You must have mixed the two and thought I said that I assume the X1 had only shipped 400k.

Ok, I think it was closer to 300k-250k a 65% drop as we saw with WiiU and the PS4 (if we sum shipment bundled for PS3 and PS4 basicaly 80% of those are PS4 if we are to reach 6mi shiped/sold this year).

I think it´s wierd the 360 would hold that well against so much competition from 4 other consoles.

But I might be wrong... again.

Huh? Sony shipped 3.5m PS3+PS4. You're assuming 2.5m PS4s shipped, right? PS3 would only be 9% down with 1m...

Basically, one of the main reason not to buy the first year a next gen is to be someone reasonable that waits and see to make his choice sure. Now that it's 2:1 (with a proven 3rd party support and better hardware) such buyers will massively go for a PS4 and make the gap wider. I can't see any reason for the gap to be stable, for the next buyers to reproduce exactly the same ratio than early buyers. The gap will reduce if MS does something really significant (any combination of price drop, exlusivity, campain, features), or it will significantly widen from the current 2:1.

loooool I just rembered the ps2 6.5:1:P

No, 3mi would be my guess if they shipped 6mi since January and in April Sony said they sold 7mi total so:

4,2 + 2,8 + 3mi

Then we have only ~300k PS3 from last quarter.

It´s kind of imprecive shipping more in quarter 2 than 1. Whatchdogs realy helped.

When they said they had sold 7m they had shipped around 7.5m. Add the last quarter of 3m (your estimate) and we're looking at 10.5m shipments as of June 30. Why do you mix sold to consumers with shipped? (4.2m, 7m and 10m were all sold to consumers).

Oh and if you use 3m for PS4 then PS3 had 500k last quarter. Still 55% down, not 65% like you claimed.

3m for PS4 last quarter does seem too high though. That would mean PS4 shipments are like 11.5-12m now and 1.5-2m shipped-sold gap is too big for it.

Not really. I think they are stocking up on consoles to try and avoid being suply constrained again like last year. By destiny I think they would like to have over 1.5m in shelfs or ready to ship that day to meet preorders and have enouff for the week and month. For the holidays I expect like 2m ready for black friday and christmas.

It takes genuine talent to see greatness in yourself despite your absence of genuine talent.

Because Sony mixed them up to April.

They said they had supply problems and "every sistem shiped was sold imediatly".

I won´t fight for +- 10% or +-100k. I just think that´s PS4/PS3 ratio, should be similar to XOne/360. The only thing that could scramble my assumption is that PS4 is available in all over the world.

Or may be the price delta realy affects more people out side the USA.

They are going to stock up on Destiny bundles, yes. An additional 1.5-2m black ones would be insane. It's not time to stock up for the holidays yet.

No, they didn't...stop making stuff up. If you put something into quotation marks it has to be a direct quote and not something that fits your agenda. There were some PS4s on shelves somewhere, but they didn't last long. 500k is a really low stock level for something selling almost 200k per week. That's 2.5 weeks of stock WW (with some places having lower stock and some having more)

In any case, I don't really know what we're arguing about. It's quite obvious that PS4 has doubled One by now, or close to doubled and will double soon enough (if you want to be pessimistic about PS4).

Sometime in 2018 is my guess. 2015 will be "halo year", 2016 "gears year", so the gap will not keep increasing at the current pace...but after that I can see the ps4 triple the xbox one's sales.

Single halo game which gets released at the end of the year is enough to fight against year of the PS4 exclusives to become year of halo in hardware sales?

Well, I confess i don't appreciate the halo series at all, but I understand its importance and its strenght, especially in NA and UK. So...yes, I genuinely think that halo alone will give a significant boost to the xbox one, more than any of the exclusives that will be released on PS4 in the same year will do for sony's console. I don't really care, Bloodborne is worth 10xHalo to me ;)
