Many threats have discussed this before.

1) the X1 has lost a lot of popularity, even the wii u is beating it after a pricecut.

2) The x1 is available in all thouse markets already at probably a cheaper price then the offiial one.

3) All thouse markets are sony land.

4) The ps4 and x1 are fighting for the same audience so the better the ps4 does the worse the x1 will do. Including that the PS4 is more powerfull at the same price so its dificult to choose the x1.

5) They both require an online fee, and 90% of the games are on both so it will be hard for the x1 to be a secondary console.

6) The ps4 has anounced a lot more exclusive in the future and has more now and its expected to always deliver more and better. Like Tomb Raider all they do is purchase exclusivity, wich will be dificult going foward with the intall base so low.

7) Shareplay will be huge. Something smilar was inmediatly shot down last year for the x1 wih means just how well receive anythng from sony is. Even thou the PS4 is doing it way better.

There are many more reasons but looking into the future, I can see the ps4 growing quicker and the x1 droping the baseline. By next year I expect the baseline to be like 30k, wore then the wii u.

they would have to go in total opposite directions(wich it sorta/kinda is) for an entire generation.. it xone sells only half oF the 360 total(about a little over 40M),the ps4 would need to be a little over 120M... i cant imagine the xone selling that little though.

The PS4 will never have a 3:1 sales ratio on the Xbox One. Say X1 finishes 2015 with 20m sold, the PS4 would have to of sold 60m

200m to 68m is even better. And th U at about 90m. For some reason I do think this gen will be way bigger than last. But I might be crazzy.

The thing is you guys are expecting numbers way to high for the x1.

I would surprised if ever, but I did not even expect 2:1 to be a reality.

what will happen if Nintendo launches a new console 2016? MS will surely follow leaving behind the x1, would sony follow suit as well?

3:1 is going to happen. 120m vs. 40m. Heard it here first

Even if we said the X1 sold 15m by the end of 2015 (which is a low figure), there is probably a 1% chance that the PS4 would of sold over 45 million

A lot of people are inclined to belive that next gen will be a type o service for any pc due to the rapidly increasing power of the pc's. Leaving consoles obsolete. Ninetendo will be the ones for sure to realease another console.

But seriously 2016? There is no way. If MS does release one then that would be even worse since MS does not support last gens the sales would disapear while the ps4 will keep selling another couple of years and for scertain achive 3:1.
