ROTFL ... even your posts are oozing of booze ... I'm catching a contact hit ...

@ Stof - that's very deep and I believe your post 100%. +1 for Stof ...

I think it's because of the frustration he expressed with Sony Japan because he wanted them to push more towards social games rather than online games. Japan = Sony's mom, and you don't insult anyones mom.

I'm pretty sure many of you don't remember or have ever heard of this, but a few years back a certain pitcher (Billy Wagner) from the Houston Astros was all of the sudden fired*ahem*traded for some pitchers that weren't even subpar at best. The public wondered why, but when people payed attention, they realized it happened only a day after he expressed his frustration with the team's owner for not spending a bit more money on the team. The team's owner is known for being this meritless, money-grubbing bastard that's trying to maintain a prestige rather than appeal to the baseball team and its fans.

I don't know, but I wouldn't doubt the situation with Phil may be similar to Wagner's situation.

PS3 Trophies

I think Stof summed up my thoughts perfectly. Watch Phil bring the mainstream brand 'Atari' back into mainstream consciousness with mainstream (IE: Casual) games.

Atari goes casual its official! Or maybe some decent games out of it while the countless casual games they produce keeps them alive.

@Stof. That's basically my thoughts on the matter.

I will miss old Phil as head of SCEWWS though. :(

Phil was a great Sony PR guy, FOR ME TO POOP ON!!! Just kidding, he always spun the BS Sony wanted him to, then when PS3 came along he got hung up on so many questions, sometimes made a fool of himself or Sony in the process, as seen in many You Tube vids, but now that he's let out his real personal feelings about the way he believes games should go, he earned about +10 respect from me, and now he's at a company he can make a difference and shape things like he wants them.

You sure you're not thinking of Jack Tretton?
