Whoah, so it's bad that I'm speculating that Uncharted may come to a close soon, but it's perfectly fine to speculate Tomb Raider won't be successful?

This site is all about speculations, I hope you realize that. And  have every right to my speculations as you or anyone else does. I can speculate whatever I want.

Lol when did I say that TOmb Raider WOULD NOT be successful?

Please read my lines again (the bold underlined ones for help), I wrote that they sold 6 million+ for their last game. If that isnt succesful, I dont know what is. Tomb Raider before the revamp was very stale THAT WAS MY POINT. even you know this to be true, that is why the IP was sold and completely changed. The Change definitely was successful.

Yes, you can speculate what you want. but there is a difference between speculation of sales numbers and speculation of what a company will do to their IP especially when the IP is doing extremely well. Also, maybe It is just me but your speculation came off like you were stating facts, that is why I said you nor I known what Naughty Dog will do with the Uncharted Series down the line. You are speculating that Tomb Raider will always be here (at least longer than Uncharted) what evidence do you have of that other than the fact that Tomb Raider has been out longer?

I didn't say you did. I'm saying others are, and yet you aren't telling them to stop stating speculations like you so blatantly did to me.

Neither of us knows anything about anything on what is going on in the game dev scene behind closed doors. All we can do is speculate.

Tomb raider was dead before uncharted made these type of games popular again. Uncharted is the king. All hail Uncharted.

Tomb Raider was first and you can nothing do about it, Uncharted will be always just a clone or an inspirate game of Tomb Raider ;)

In 2006 third person action adventure games were almost dead. Unchated made it popular again. And tomb raider is a video game clone of Indiana jones.

If you're talking sales then I think it's hard to go past the fact that UC3 sold as much or more than TR and UC3 was on one platform whereas TR was on 5 platforms. So RTR on only one platform doesn't have a shit show against UC4 unless Naughty Dog suffers a collective brain aneurysm.

In terms of game I most want to play I would have to give it to UC4 but by a fairly narrow margin. Gameplay wise I think TR is better, story and character wise UC is better. Set pieces UC wins easily. Overall enjoyment is UC.

i like tomb raider more.

Lara's nice and all but Uncharted is the better game.

Tomb Raider when it comes to story requires a suspension of disbelief to make it through the game for the serious story fanatic. People who don't care much for story wont have such a problem. It has many holes and makes very little sense. The connection between herself and her friends is laughable at best. How this woman survives past the first hour of the game is just insane and the disbelief continues even towards the end of the game. Its just a crazier shoot em up version of Uncharted now compared to the old Uncharted's. The game also reuses characters, so you'll find yourself killing the same guy over and over and over again and you'll at some point get so bloodthirsty in the mindless massacre that you wont care anymore. Crystal Dynamics is terrible at creating tension. The only tension they had (without spoilers) was a the build up of an omenous presence. I am sure you've heard some commentary regarding the storyline, but it was a valid effort nevertheless. Its online is a rip off of Uncharted as well and fails to even hold a candle to it in the process.

Uncharted is just a fantastic franchise. Makes the story based adventure genre feel fresh and new. The pacing of the story actually makes you interested in those involved and feel a weight inside if you lose a friend. Naughty Dog gets serious kudos for giving their franchises between Last of Us and Uncharted a night and day type of feeling. The multiplayer isnt as good as last of us, but its getting there and now that the last of us was fixed. Its a light hearted game that has that suave indiana jones feel. Thats what makes Nathan Drake more relatable than Lara Croft as well. Ellie in Last of Us is more relatable to females of the 21st century than Lara is.

I easily say Uncharted. The new Tomb Raider was inspired by Uncharteds cinematic development but it didnt wear it well enough to say its better. If you want a mindless shooter its great. I will play it when it hits bargain bin next year for sure.

Uncharted by a mile...
