I'm afraid a lot of people who didn't played Dynasty Warriors will be dissapointed in this Hyrule Warriors. Both games (DW and HW) looks gorgeous at first, but its a great example of style over substance. Personally I love DW series, but I think HW will not resist the hype its getting from nintendo fans.
Anyway back on topic the preview was way too positive and everything I read is more or less the same for a DW game, and critics don't like those games.
