Obviously, all opinions are valid but, I think a top 10 all time list should be mostly composed of games that started genre's etc. Games like SMB (2D gaming template) and SM64 (3D gaming template) are fine examples. Resident Evil 1 for surivial horror, Doom for FPS etc.

It's infinately more impressive and difficult to create things for which don't have a template than to simply refine something. RE4, Metroid Prime, SMB3, DKC3...these are examples of this. Great games, but refinements.
