Forums - Sony - Should there be another God of War?

I would say no, but I've never played one. So it depends on what fans of it want, although if they could work on a new ip at the same time that would be great

Do yourself a favour and play these collection of the best exclusives PlayStation has to offer!

Summary of people's opinions:

God Of War should continue, but Kratos should not.

It has to move on to a different mythology at the very least, a new protagonist would be welcome as well but if they just had to stick with kratos I wouldn't mind.

move one to another character. I played them all, except for the last one. I'd rather have a new character and new setting,if there was going to be another one.

Absolutely they should make another God of War. I keep reading from everyone about how they need a new character or new mythology. Honestly story is not that important. The gameplay and production values make God of War popular. In the scheme of the story there was over 10 years of history before God of War 1 where Kratos served the gods, they could do a prequel for all I care. As long as they improve the gameplay and give us new environments and monsters to slay. Ascension's fight mechanics were great. The new grapple mechanic made combat so fluid and fun. I worry if they replace Kratos we won't have the chains/blades which is one reason God of War is so fun to play!
