I'd say go for Wind Waker. You can play the collector's edition games on other consoles with better controls. Well, there's also Wind Waker for Wii U, so if you have a Wii U as well, I'd say go for the Collector's Edition.

This is true. I forgot to mention that. When you start the game, you're even warned that the MM port has issues.
You can play around it, because most is minor, but whatever you do, don't jump and open doors at the same time. For example, if you jump towards a door and press A to open the door before Link's 'jump-landing-animation' is finished. The game will freeze.
