with a little bit of thought and imagination Titanfall can make a lot of sense.

- you are in a battle for resources... you get small resource packs from every soldier kill.
- The kills power up your portal that allows a titan to be dropped for you. takes too much power to send in titans so the send the soldiers in first to gather some resources.
- once the titans are in you can get resources faster (since they are more destructive) and can access certain resource caches that are unattainable without them.

Problem solved.

There are no portals tho..they are being dropped.. Also why not build some on earth to go in first? Since they go through so many resources and are able to waste resources at the end of a lost battle it suggests that resources really arn't important.

Sure they can send them right away. They can build them and launch them in 3 minutes. So they have enough technology to camoflauge and make silent thousands of pilots but they can't do the same for mech? Sure they could, it's as easy as adding a layer of the material they use for pilots. if you can make a man invisible, you can make a mech invisible.

Yeah they could make Titans invisible but we don't know what kind of technology they use on Titans and on pilots. Also, in the future, AI is still a bit dumb so yeah it's better to have pilots piloting Titans than having them on auto pilot. Think like a self driving car, it's possible today but human drivers (not all of us) are still better at driving than auto drive.


I didn't say anything about AI. There is absolutly no reason they couldn't be piloted remotly. You do understand we can control vehicles as if we are there from a safe distance away right? It's not autopilot and it's not AI a pilot can literally control it as if they are there. With that statement I can only conclude that you don't understand the difference.

Yep especially since the militia doesn't have the resources the IMC has.

Hmmm... you're right.. ok another idea.

The titans only have enough energy to power themselves in combat mode for 3 mins at a time. So even if you could come into the battle at the start with your titan it would be the smart play to hold off till the last few minutes of the battle then bring them in.

We dont judge Movies/Games by how smart they are or whether they make sense, they just need to be the right kind of stupid

Watch this video and you can easily put games in the same place 




As for the video in the op, i didnt find it hilarious, but some of it was clever

Sorry I didn't meant to talk abou AI specificaly to you, just something I wanted to add... also yeah I know fully well that we can pilot things at a certain distance. But remotely controlled electronics aren't always reliable.

Also maybe it costs less to produce more pilots than titans. As soon as you die another pilot takes your place  but a new titan takes more time.
