Now that I think of it, would Microsoft suddenly stand a chance in the Japanese market without Sony around?  The PS3 got/is still getting a bloody TON of exclusive-by-default Japanese games.  Would these studios migrate to the Wii U or to the Xbox One instead of the PS4?

If the Xbox One got the next Persona, Disgaea, Tales, Warriors, and the like, it would make it a bunch more attractive for some of us.

Imo they would just go to Nintendo. Ms doesn't have a handheld so I'm not sure if Japanese devs would suddenly jump on board the xbox if the scenario the op laid out happened. Although I would love it they did

Really, I don't think Nintendo or Microsoft would get any support, I actually think that the devs would just move completely to mobile. Most of the biggest ones (Capcom, SE, Namco, etc.) already have much more games on mobile than they do Vita or PS4.

Well that would suck. I would at least hope a few games like Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts, Tales of, and a couple of thers would continue on console and handheld.
