How come? Is it because Unity is exclusive to 8th gen?

It's also on PC and I think that a remaster will come in 2015.

Because the developers and publishers want more money and so instead of making Ac:Unity on both generation therefore leaving fans on last gen consoles buying one version with this move fans of the series will buy Ac:Rouge and Ac:Unity to get the full experience and so they will get double the money.

Unfortunately, the remaster is probably the real reason...

well in the release about the game, they say they wanted to give 7th gen systems one final assassins creed game. that is why unity is only for 8th gen systems, but i agree that more than likely a hd remaster of rogue will come late summer, during the slow release of games that usually happens for systems.

Because they need something to differentiate it from Unity.

Unity is also looking to push AC graphical levels, so they want to start from scratch with everything. With Rouge they can reuse more, like AC III from New York and all the ship mechanics, without having to work from scratch like they are going to for Unity

But I think PC port and next-gen will come next year. I don't think I'll wait though

Because releasing 2 full priced games on the same platform from the same series at the same time would obviously get huge customer backlash. But mark my words: it will come to PC, PS4 and XB1 before AC5.

I think because last gen consoles weren't powerful enough for Unity, so they didn't want to forget about the AC fans on those consoles, and decided to make Rogue.
