Weird how MS have ended up in a position where they cant support there own platforms.

Like Sony with Vita?

MS does support the Windows, go look it up.

Sony bring as many games as they can that will work on PS3/4 to vita, its obviously a system with a lot less power.

This would be an easy port that they could make exclusive to there windows shop and coin it in

Master Chief got business to solve on X1.
If people are looking for MS published games there are: Minesweeper, Hearts, Spades on every copy of windows.
Isn't small games and indies a hip thing now?

Of course it was a mistake! Releasing the MCC on the PC would simply be a recipe for disaster!

I can't really say I'm surprised, this is Microsoft's M.O. lately. First they tell us that PC is still important to them, and then that's pretty much the cue to release games only for the consoles. I honestly wonder why they even bother anymore? I wonder if they realize that every time they make that statement, and then do something like this it simply drives home the point that Microsoft (and most companies for that matter) will dropkick you right out the door if they find a more attractive revenue stream.

Not that the loss of Halo really bothers me or anything, I've never been a fan (Was playing Unreal at the time), not that I hate it...just never got into it. Still, it's interesting to see Microsoft keep doing this to a rather large group of gamer's. But, w/e floats their boat, I guess.

Heh, you're right about that but I'd like to think MS won't make any more stupid mistakes!

Yeah, despite that they released most of their Arcade IPs on Steam, released Dead Rising, Fable Anniversary, Max: TCB, etc... just in 2014.

Fable Anniversary isn't out yet for PC, it's been out since February on console, Dead Rising is an Xbox Exclusive, I think you meant DR3.  Haven't checked out Max TCB, however, I don't think you can even remotely argue that the aforementioned titles...combined, compare to how popular Halo is.  Yes, releasing games that probably won't sell gangbusters on console on PC as well makes great business sense.  What business sense does not releasing a collection as big as Halo MCC on PC make, if not to funnel everyone to console?

You also kinda need to look at it from the perspective of the state of GFWL, which is laughable.  It's not just one thing, at least, not for me anyway.  There's a number of things that annoy me there.

You're talking about them supporting PC, although they don't have to, even if they state it.

MS is not gonna dump everything in PC because some people that don't wanna buy Xbox want that title.

The above mentioned titles are or will be on PC in the near future. That's more than what Take Two, EA, Ubisoft, Nintendo and Sony do.

If people want Halo buy X1, if they don't want to buy it, they don't want Halo that bad.

It doesn't make any business sense whatsoever to put Halo on PC.
