I still think they'd have to be completely mad to put it on PC. "Hey guys, let's take our biggest system seller and put it on the most openly available platform so people don't need to buy an X1!"

They probably budgeted for it to sell 8 million copies...and it's hard to do that when you don't have even 6 million consoles in homes, so they decided to port to PC to try and break even on the project.

The budget would have to be $200m+ for them to need 8m sales... There is no way in hell it could cost that much. Even including marketing costs they could remake all 4 titles at a truly next gen level for that amount of money (not the glorified 7th gen visuals they are producing for Halo 2).

I really doubt it's true (the comment from Frankie also seems to imply it isn't). It wouldn't make at sense at all.

"Amazon UK has been known to leak information before a game’s official announcement. The last time it happened they revealed the existence of a PC version of Tekken 7. Before that they accidentally posted a listing for Mortal Kombat X which was to be unveiled at E3 later that month. However, other time Amazon simply creates a placeholder page in anticipation of a possible release"

So that tekken 7 pc listing wasn't a place holder in anticipation of a possible release? Considering it's already announced for PS4 and Xbone, it was just a place holder.

I wonder when the Quantum Break listing will show up and be mysteriouly removed

Interestingly enough, Xbox consoles rank higher than the competition in terms of attach ratio.

True, but even at 100% attach to current consoles they may see it as a loss on a given project.  Granted this particular situation appears to be debunked with the MCC game, but it could hold true for future projects that may see more than just X1 exclusivity in the future.

What did it cost MS to bundle Halo1-4? Especially it was mostly done by 343i.

Then, MCC bundle is the type of package that will keep selling for years. That's that sh*t that MS do like!

I think Microsoft is beta testing PC market. They never wanted to get involved in the console wars to begin with. They might launch Xbox service which might challenge steam.

I thought their beta test was called Games for Windows Live, and it crashed and burned unceremoniusly.

GFWL 2.0 is coming.

Yup, Windows 9 exclusive! :P

I hope they still keep it exclusive for XOne for a while..

Platform: No Operating System

so it's not even a ms exclusive anymore.

Well this should start as a Xbox 1 exclusive. Then in spring 2015 you release the MCC for PC to get PC gamers into possibly buying a Xbox 1 for Halo 5. That would make sense.

Otherwise, the console war backlash is no biggie. 7th gen wars have all but died out. And this is only a remake collection, not a brand new AAA exclusive (though this is a really, really, REALLY good remake collection :P)

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.
