What other option is there in the market ? PS4 is facing weak competition at its price is right.  Also look at market share PS4 is taking, only stock issues will dictate sales nothing else.  They will pretty much sale what ever they ship.

Consumer demand and a wide array of factors that come into play with regards to consumer momentum....It will have a big holiday. PS: People don't buy consoles just to play exclusives. Look at how it's competition is doing...........PS will get most of the sales this holiday and it's already selling incredibly well, lots of games and holiday buying this fall.


Don't say that , it's uncertain for sure. The PS4 might not sell the most - could be the 3DS.

Vgchartz already has it undertracked....meaning it is close to 9.5 mill already.

 

We have rest of july, august sales, then September sales will pick up. You think it will only do around 3 million sept to december when sales double, even triple? Not sure how 15 or more million is unrealistic, it is very realistic.

possible yes, likely, I dont think so. I think xbo will be picking up some steam as halo comes out which might slow ps4 down alittle in the states. time will tell.

weeker april, may, june sales and maybe july sales for ps4 frist year, vs ps3 second year.

why should the ps4 first year holiday should be soooo much better than ps3 second year holiday in that case? (relative increase wise)

It's not a new Halo, it's the old Halos, big difference.

And the reason that the PS4 will do much better than the PS3 in 2008 has 3 letters: U.S.A. that market is the most important one in the holidays. Go back and look at how poorly the PS3 did in the US back then, it sold a measily 175k in the US on black friday in 2008. The PS4 is going to absolutely crush that number, because, if you haven't noticed yet, the US is in love with the PS4.

Also we can bet for sig control or something.

and on the other hand much worse in japan.

 

and what about the march - july sales. these already include the much better usa sales in comparison to the p3.

 

this is the point: the better appeal of the ps4 does not only apply in the holiday season. it already does in its sales figures right now.

without the better attraction in the usa we would have 400k summer months. not 500k ones...

so question again. why woul the increase in this case be so much bigger?

WTF does this mean? You saying ps4 won't increase in sales come the holiday?? If so I have a unicorn to sell you. All consoles sell more in the holidays your post makes zero sense. Even the ps3 did which got trounced buy xbox.

 

Why are you comparing ps3 sales second year to a much more supply rich ps4 in it's first year? MAkes no sense.

 

Ps4 is bigger then ps3 sales wise by a massive margin.......your comparison to ps3 makes no sense...PS3 is not the ps4. PS4 is winning the US, not getting beat 2:1 like ps3 was.

Not sure what you mean here, if more people buy xbox the fall it is not going to slow down those who want a ps4..both will increase.

Aug 500k WW, Sept 1m WW Nov 2m WW DEc... 3/4 or more stock dependent.

Easy 16.5/17

Not sure what you mean here, if more people buy xbox the fall it is not going to slow down those who want a ps4..both will increase.

if you had to make a choice, ps4 or xbo, halo mcc is a hard one to pass up, plus not bad exclusives for xbo this fall/winter forza horizons 2, sunset overdrive, and evolve. ps4... well its great if you like playstation and it will be good for multiplaform games.

its ashame alot will have to choose, but there can be only one.... :D       ...for some fortunate ones not so much...
