On the topic of 10m HW. That would suggest 750k a month since april. that means by january the PS4 would sell at the very least 13.75m. Now of course the holidays can outsell the first 9 months. 17m very possible, 18m probable, 20m is attainable.

At this point, 15,000,000 is impossible.

Considering how good the Holidays usually are for consoles and its the only choice for gamers in this Gen we can be sure its closer to 20 Million than to 15 Million.
We are talking about OVER 10 Million right now at the beginning of August.If we take into consideration that everyone was so far off with their numbers and especially VGchartz we have to look at it from a completely different perspective.
The Baseline for the PS4 in the summer drought is much higher than everyone thought.Destiny will probably push even more than we all thought.At the same time this game gets the flood of games going.

The only thing that can stop the PS4 this year are supply problems again.It will sell every unit available.
