Because doctor and bodyguard shouldn't exist together on the same team. It creates an unkillable combo.
Bodyguard protects doctor, doctor protects bodyguard.
In the situation where it was those two and two mafia left, the game would end in a tie.
It's a gamebreaking combo.

We know Spurge was the bodyguard and I can only tell you what I remember. Up to you what you make of it now.

Wish I could've just stuck to thinking you were doctor as I did yesterday, but I'm narrowing my suspects and had to make sure you didn't slip through the cracks.

What this does confirm, is that mafia have one of two roles.

Strongman

Roleblocker picks a player and stops them from making an action
Strongman is able to kill someone even if the player is doctored.
