But we did. But ok, I'll post it again.

“I wish we had a button that was like ‘Turn On PS4 Mode’, but no,” creative director Neil Druckmann says. “We expected it to be Hell, and it was Hell. Just getting an image onscreen, even an inferior one with the shadows broken, lighting broken and with it crashing every 30 seconds… that took a long time. These engineers are some of the best in the industry and they optimised the game so much for the PS3’s SPUs specifically. It was optimised on a binary level, but after shifting those things over [to PS4] you have to go back to the high level, make sure the [game] systems are intact, and optimise it again.

“I can’t describe how difficult a task that is. And once it’s running well, you’re running the [versions] side by side to make sure you didn’t screw something up in the process, like physics being slightly off, which throws the game off, or lighting being shifted and all of a sudden it’s a drastically different look. That’s not ‘improved’ any more; that’s different. We want to stay faithful while being better.”

I have never seen anyone post that article.

But it has been pointed out quite a few times in the threads you took a part in. You're too focused on contradicting everyone and tell them that "the remaster is wrong, because I say so" that you probably didn't notice that part. That's just a guess. But it certainly looks like it.

I didnt know it was THAT difficult to make a PS3 game for download on the PS4...

Which is why your arguments keep falling flat. You obviously do not understand what it takes to get a PS3 game running properly on a PS4. This has literally been explained multiple times to you in this thread.

It isn't just a simple port job to make something that was fine tuned to work with the Cell and PPC architecture to magically just start working on x86. It will always require a small team like ND did, only they had them put some extra work in it.

Your new argument sounds like you think a lazy port would have been best for everyone.

No, it hasnt. People said its for the people who hasnt played it on the PS3 and for the fans that supposedly begged for it.

Yes, it was for many people for many different reasons, as stated over and over again.

If sales reports come around and we find it sold like crap and gigaflopped, then it probably wasn't really needed.

If sales reports come around and we find it sold very well, then it was needed since demand was obviously there.

You should just give up the whole thing of going into all these threads and at this point just wait for reports to see where yours and everyone elses opinions truly stands.

Yep pretty much this... a game that could be launched fast, be gorgeous and fill the holes is a good approach, and of course we would love it being cheaper, but there is more reason to make it 50 than 30... And from what I heard WW HD is a fantastic improvement... TLOUR is being regarded good, and probably Halo MCC will be good as well... so they are very much worth remasters/remakes.

WWHD and MCC is not the same thing. One is a 10 year old SD game where they fixed the problems people had with it and the other has 4 games(one which is 10 years old)

I don't see any good reason why a remaster isn't a good thing. Especially when they're done like MCC, WWHD and TLOUR.

Where? Quote someone that said it...

Remasters can be a good thing...

... and TLOU is a game that's still hot and in demand.  You can't seem to accept the arguments in favor for it, yet you accept the ones in favor of the other two.

Huh? Did you read any of the responses made to you in this thread? You are seriously confusing me.

ND said PS3 owners asked for it and bviously PS4 owners who did not own a PS3 last gen might find interest in it now. That is many people for many reasons.

I think you should go back to your first post in this thread and work your way back to here as I think you missed a lot along the way.

I know that someone above literally said the same thing, but gonna agree and reiterate. If the game sells terribly, then it means that there was no demand for it, and so yeah, probably didn't need to exist. But if it sells well, especially if it sells very well, then obviously there is demand, and claiming that it shouldn't exist 'because reasons' is pretty silly. If people want that title, for that price, be it because they haven't played it before, or because they did and love it so much they want the shinier version, then claiming that it's production is a mistake is ridiculous.

"I don't care if all those people bought it and loved it, I think it shouldn't exist, so objectively speaking, it totally shouldn't exist" >.

Yes, they are old games that get fixed and improved. TLOU came out last year. They didnt really fix anything, just made it run better and upscaled it.
