All products are based on that, and all the other reasons given for existence you already denied in this thread... but haven't given a single good reason for it not to exist that wasn't proved weak.

It was proved weak, because people dont want to say anything bad about Sony. They are great, but this remaster is not. Its a 1 year old game thats still available. They could make it available as a download for PS4 or via PSNow. Problem solved. The people who didnt have a PS3 can now play it.

You do realize they're a company, right?

Yes and sometimes companies get a little too greedy. Its our job to make sure they know when.

By the laws of mathematics if a next gen port is bad then the MCC must be 4 times as bad.

Sadly the internet doesn't math.

How? Wouldn't it divide the hate and only receive a 10th for each year or a quarter for 4 games? A fifth even, we get a ticket to the Ridley Scott Halo TV series thrown in.

Not sure how the laws apply negatively.

They made it available as a download.

You can't just make it a download and have it play, they would have to port it.  Which is basically what they did.

I meant the original. That was weird to say.lol

That poll.

Am I the only one that's not bothered by either of these games? I want to get both The Last of Us Remastered and the Master Chief Collection. I never got to play TLOU on the PS3, and the MCC is appealing because it has the original multiplayer component for Halo 1, which has never before been playable on XBL. The fact that pickings are slim on the exclusives front for both systems this year is hardly a big deal for me. Besides, there's plenty of third-party games to choose from that are coming out between now and Christmas. Also, a console is a long-term investment. I didn't buy a PS4 thinking of what I would be playing now, but what I will be playing, this year, next year, and so on. By 2018 the libraries for both the PS4 and XBO will be huge.

If you want to play The Last of Us, you should just buy a PS3 and the game. That's quite a lot of money for just one game, and you won't get to play that many upcoming new games on that system since developers will move on to the new gen more and more... But, if you want to play it that bad, a PS3 is what you should get. The choice to get the game on PS4 is wrong. Because it is! The game is only one year old after all. So that makes it wrong! People should know better than to encourage such despicable practice. Giving players the opportunity to experience it on a new console... The nerves Sony is showing!! They are forcing everyone to buy the Remaster now, and it stinks! The people who played it on the PS3 are just so damn screwed by Sony!!!

You do realize that to create a PS4 download you would still need to port it and do all this work done for TLOUR right? And a PSNow version is probably around the corner.

So every PSNow game will be like TLOUR?

I voted no. Damnit it was worded weirdly

I think MCC has more value and is better suited to be released now. It's a win-win for gamers and publishers alike.

TLoU:Re. is a cash grab for sure but it's a boost for Sony's machine and there is no argument for it being a totally positive move for the company. Yeah it's a year old but it's fucking incredible - another win-win.
